Both endings are so sad, Dying Light in its entirety is a masterpiece I love this game so much

I think this ending sucks because it makes the main game pointless. I mean what was the point of saving all those people and stopping the G.R.E. from nuking the island just to turn around and nuke it yourself? the volatile ending is much better and makes more sense.
I 100% agree, that's what I've been thinking. The story and direction of the game just got flipped upside down in that last quest. Very disappointing. Drinking the vial is obviously the most true ending out of the three possible, but realistically it should have ended with you taking the vials back to the Slums and using them as a mist for a temporary "cure" measure until Camden finds the real cure.
your absolutely right. when I got to this point in the story I was like wait why didn't he just take the vials back anyway. plus if your in uv light your still free thinking and they have like a billion uv lights. not to mention the fact that every base and outpost is already decked out with uv lights so most of the bases they wouldn't even need to add much. so to me this is still a cure and absolutely what I feel any intelligent person would do if a situation similar to this was presented to them in the real world.about finding the cure as a volatile idea I thought that too but I'm not sure if you can cure a zombie or if your to far gone at that point I think it's more like making the living people immune.but I feel that if that was the direction the game decided to go the developers would've thought of some reasonable way to explan it.
Isaiah Comfort It's not canon and it does make sense. The G.R.E in the beginning of the game even tells you, that the cure is not the answer l, but wiping them out would be for the better. A city vs the whole world. It was put into better perspective for him in this dlc using mother. Mother had ties to the military, and instead of her choosing to be a weapon, she wanted to end the agony and finish the virus once and for all. The only reason people don't like the ending, is because they are attached to crane. With that being said, the developers said this wasn't canon. Just dlc. People accept zombies in call of duty, but If you introduce a cult and supernatural element to dying light, all of a sudden it's shit.

This game blew me away. i have so much fun playing it on my PlayStation. This is the game when i first play i say to my self. this is what next gen game should be like. DLC was freaking amazing. i can still play this game n lot of fun with it.
I wonder what it must feel like to make that decision. And to stand there literally hearing the countdown to your death. I sometimes listen to this with headphones while high and it gives me shivers because it makes feel like I'm there.

I think this is kind of a good ending for most of the remaining guys in harran because the guys in the tower would tell crane to set off the nuke to get rid of everything if there was no other choice plus the bigger picture is, what if they evolve enough to just break through the quarantine and attack everything

Wow, you have both missed out of a lot of content, if you played it that fast you can only have played the main story. There's so much more to do and a lot of it is real fun. Good thing the game is highly re-playable (which is part of the reason they've included no less than three possible endings - two official ones and a secret one).

The Aristocrat -- Many games use the same voice actors. F.ex., I know I've heard the voice actor who does Doctor Zere (the doc scientist in Dying Light who does research in a "trailer' near The Tower and eventually gets killed by Rais' men). Sometimes they also have some really famous actors, like f.ex. Max von Sydow in Skyrim. He's the leader of the group who wants the main character to kill the dragon at the top of the mountain above the graybeards (forgot the dragon's name).
I'll try to listen and see if I can recognize the voice actor you mention when I play Skyrim again. I think it's always fun to try and recognize and found out who is voice acting, especially the really good voice actors.
I also read that a lot of game companies use one particular voice actor over and over for their protagonist (main character). I forgot his name, but it seems likely because many really do sound alike.
By the way, have you noticed that the voice actor Dying Light use to voice over Gazi (the retarded dude who celebrates Mother's Day everyday for a scarecrow with a pumpkin for a head) is also used for a couple of other characters in the game? He's a good voice actor, so I suppose most people won't notice, but once you do notice it's obvious.
An example: He voices one of the characters living at the big safe house compound by the shore near the Infamy Bridge in The Slums in Dying Light, and he also voices a character in The Following though I don't remember his name or whereabouts.

i like these endings a lot but when and how did the cult and believers meet the mother and her husband if the outbreak/infection started with military experiments- of which the mother's husband was part? and when crane asks why she needs him she says for the codes but doesnt know he has them. she expects what, from crane? to be an expert? i would have loved the story to be more clear. i didnt even have the feeling this outbreak was so circumscribed and so close to not affected areas like at the ending, when crane emerges from who knows where near this mother and kids playing.
