Oh man, I definitely get those moments where I just forget how to human haha, it's similar to when someone tells you "you're breathing" you suddenly start to manually breathe because now you think about it, it doesn't happen automatically anymore.
The nba isnt big at all outside the US (and maybe UK, at most?) so I'm guessing they made him ambassador to bring in interest from asia/ non western world, where bts is definitely much bigger.

Honestly I live in Germany and I didn't know about the NBA before I knew about BTS. In fact I first heard the term from BTS. I only heard of the names of Lebron James and a couple other really famous players but not what their league was called or what they were doing (and I still don't know much more than that). In Germany football (soccer fo Americans) is really big and a couple of other teamsports like handball and various wintersport disciplines are well known but basketball isn't really that big here so maybe that's the reason. Or maybe I just don't know enough about sports.
