Rains Continue To Pour In Cauvery Basin, KRS Dam Almost Reaches Its Brim !

Heavy rains continue to lash Kodagu district and Cauvery basin. The Krishnaraja Sagar dam, near Srirangapatna, is just short of reaching the maximum storage level. The water level touched the 123-feet mark as against the full reservoir level of 124.8 ft. A huge quantum of water would be released to the Cauvery from KRS at any moment. People should take precautionary measures and move to safer places, the Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd. said.
