    What metal colour did you use and do you clear over the bare metal areas to hide the decal film?

    • @Luftraum72
      @Luftraum72  Před 2 lety +2

      The wings are mostly LP-11, and the fuselage Gunze Super metallics, and yes, I gave everything a thin matte coat to eliminate the sheen of the decal film.

      @@Luftraum72 I just got some LP-11, and I've heard nothing but good things about it, and have seen nothing but great results from it.

      Thanks. I’ve always found the clear coat affects the finish of the bare metal colour but looking at yours it seems fine.

      @@SmallSoldier My clear coat was pretty thin and used Rapid Thinner so not much chance to deactivate the metallic. Might be different if one were doing wet coats where it can reactivate and mix with the metallic below.

      Ironically, I’m not religious, yet I’ve heard David Knights say it so many times on Plastic Model Mojo, that it’s the first expression that popped in my head.
