Loving the new plane. The seats are so nice. As for the meal………all I can say is shocking. I thought the main meal was the starter. I’m only a small eater, but even by my standards, that really was bad! Loved that you got to sit in the cockpit. When I was a child my uncle was a chief engineer for MAS. I got to sit in the cockpit of one of those jumbo jets as we called them back then! Fantastic experience for a child.

Thanks Mark for this very useful review. BA crew are always good in my opinion I agree about the food. I like the look of the new seats. The lounge at LHR is getting so busy these days South Lounge is sometimes a bit quieter but you have to walk to the other end of the terminal. 😊

Hey Mark brilliant video. Yea this new Noe A320 looks awesome. Food wise I think you should have filled up in the lounge before flight as these short haul flights Business never do seem to offer a real good meal. I figure they do not have the time. My wife was listening to this video and she was the one to say you complain about the food service on such a short flight, but you were in the lounge which had a full breakfast ect and you didn't want to stay because to many people. Boo Hoo to you you'll know better the next time lol. I found the video really good and informative. And how cool was that allowing you into the cockpit. The cockpit was really nice and clean and definitely could tell it was new. Have a good flight back on Aer Lingus I don't think you'll get the service you did on BA.
Pricing for BA Euro class I don't agree with the high amount they charge as it is only an economy seat 3x3 and middle seat blocked off. So there isn't really anymore comfort to be had. The only up grade is the cheap meal you received.Short flights I'm okay in the cheap seats. Now this is my opinion and it may differ from someone else's. Enjoy your video's. I was in economy with Aer Lingus on the flight home. The aircraft was an ATR 72 600 so let's just say things were a bit more bumpy! 😂

Hey dude great trip, we are off to Prague in November ( CE ) so I hope we bag a NEO on that trip... Must say - so much more personal and enjoyable than the faceless & voiceless production. Got the top btw, but sent it back, it looked 100 times better on you than me ( I hear M&S are looking for models lol so I'll put a word in for ya ). Back in the day circa 1996 when I worked in Russia, I was on a BA 767 to Moscow and, on the tarmac, a voice came over the tanoy ' If Mr P is on board please make yourself known to a member of the crew' I thought shit what have I done now! Turns out a pilot I knew at BA had asked the Captain of my plane to let me travel in the cockpit for the fun of it - so I did. I sat in the third seat all the way to Moscow. It was totally sick and such an experience.

Thanks for the great video - I have been on this aircraft as well and it is indeed stunning, a significant improvement in terms of cabin atmosphere and seat comfort. But did not have the chance to check the cockpit as much as you did. the prawn main course could have been much more generous. It is indeed a pity that BA is not planning to retrofit the other A320s and A321s with this new cabin as it is really great. thanks again for the video!

Lol - there was a time (not that long back ) when BA had in their employ a very dedicated, highly skilled and expertly trained 'Prawn Slicer' that could slice a prawn in half longways ( his name was never made public in case other airlines made a play for him ). The prawns were then laid on the plate in halves so it looked as if BA were being very generous and giving you twice as many prawns as there actually were on the plate. That happened to me several times in CE - such a poor performance on the part of BA.
I flew on the new A321 (G-TNED) it's a really nice look.

Excellent job again mate. What a fantastic crew, a credit to BA. The seat looks like a Delta seat, wish a configuration could just go with 2 and 2, an opportunity missed on a brand new design. We experienced exactly that lounge just like that for hours, oppressive and busy but still an escape from a very busy terminal 5. All the best

The seat is definitely an upgrade compared to the older version but they should have ditched the 3 seat configuration and gone with a wider 2.
That would have made a real statement and pushed BA back to the top again in Europe so it’s a definitely a missed opportunity.

The seats look lovely but they are the same all the way through to economy. The only difference is the middle seat blocked off by an insert table. So you get the same width of seat in business class as you get in economy. At least the old. Seats used to allow the two middle armrests to slide inwards and the middle seat back panel fall down as the table allowing the two other seats a wider width of seat in business class before. Not just a middle seat blocked off by a table.

A tad different to the 21/22 year old BA A319 I flew to Berlin from LHR in October 23, meal service in business on that occasion was pretty good.

Are the seats the same in economy? Is the seat pitch the same? Looks like a missed opportunity to make Club Europe a proper BC experience with bigger seats and more room. Disappointing to hear they only have 2 new planes. A real scoop getting into the cockpit, though!
Hi Sandip, they are the exact same as normal economy seats the only difference with Club Europe is the middle seat gets blanked off with a tray table 🤦
Personally I would prefer if they had put a bigger seat in and taken the middle seat out altogether like Qatar’s 737 Max business class but this a Uk airline we are talking about and they are all in a race to the bottom 😂

How did you get to know what routes the new business class is operating on?
I used Flight Radar to track where it was going until I found a route with a spare seat 😂
Missed out on Barcelona by one day then Belfast come up and I managed to snag a seat 👍
Have to agree about BA food it's very much hit and miss. I flew back from Washington DC in July and the dinner service was fairly good apart from the starter. But the breakfast was awful! Yoghurt, granola and coconut (tasted purely of coconut), a full English breakfast roll with cheese which was bland even after adding salt, felt very doughy after coming out of the aircraft oven.

I’m really disappointed. When will BA learn that no-one wants 3-3 in business class with the middle seat not in use. Why not use bigger seats and have a 2-2 configuration. Confusing.
I think they already know but look after profit margins more than the customers needs, they know they have the monopoly on Europe short haul flights.
I still think European airlines have a bit of a cheek calling this a business class seat. It’s economy with the middle seat blocked. Most Asian airlines have a much better product with a 2 2 configuration, more leg room and better recline.

It’s a shame tbh as I reckon BA would sell way more seats and also end up with a higher margin.

Sure it’s nice because it’s new. Why can’t they replace it with bigger seats like with U.S. airlines? Extra leg rooms and bigger seats with 2-2 seat configuration. Blocking middle seats with the same legroom as in economy and charge seat fees especially in business class are ridiculous. Why doesn’t BA include their seat fees in their airfare?

they can try all they like to be nice. Cabin crew are amazing on BA, but the administration and ticketing is a flippin joke. cost me 2-3 grand in Moscow. Their partnership with S7 means my ticket was lost after re-issue/partial cancellation and rebook with new bookingcode. Never flying BA again

european business class is a form of scam! the same cramped seats, very poor food and drinks. You can only use it if your flight connects to an intercontinental flight in BC or First, otherwise you can better use this money for local expenses in the EU
