Tax Identification Number also generally known with its acronym, TIN, is a customized number issued by the Federal Inland Revenue Service or the Joint Tax Board, the body saddled with the responsibility of administering and collecting tax in Nigeria.
The TIN is primarily for identifying taxpayers in the country. It could either be in the capacity of an individual or an organization.
Since the advent of POS business registration with CAC, it has become necessary for these POS businesses to process their TIN alongside their CAC Certificates in order to upgrade and link thier POS business bank accounts with the CAC certificates. If yes, login to your account, on it you will see "reserved with a number on top". Tap the number, on the next page, tap "approval note".. you will see the availability code there.
If it's not showing, keep refreshing the page.
for non-individual who don't have a business but wants to generate TIN, for something important,,,is it possible?

I registered for TIN since June 15 and till date I'm yet to get it. I sent an email to them 2 weeks ago but no redponse yet. Is there a way u can get it or track it through the tracking ID I received when i requested for TIN
@@OmidireChristianah I am also facing same issue. The only option to check for your application is to use the TIN VERIFICATION PORTAL option on the site.
@@edjekotachristian120 the TIN verification is for those that have already been issued a TIN ID. Even I went to FIRS site but I didn't even see where I could make a request but someone suggest I go to their office with the same documents I used.
I've searched the JTB site and I didn't even see where I can search for my TIN Request using the Tracking ID that was sent to my email when I registered.
I tried to register on jtb with my business registered number, it displays invalid registration number. The number i wrote is the number written on my business certificates

which of the options above did you select?
@@bashirualiuoluwaseyi2402 if you choose the right option which is REGISTER FOR TIN NON INDIVIDUAL, your registration number must begin with BN.
as in BN1234567
My Boss, I swear I have been trying it since 3days ago it is showing invalid registration number too, if you doubt it I can send my reg number so that you can confirm it
