Odegaard Falls Hike and 4x4ing to Purgatory Glacier Lookout - Bella Coola, British Columbia, Canada

After a first failed attempt at reaching Hunlen Falls due to poor weather, I opted for Odegaard and Purgatory on my next outing. The initial forestry road to Odegaard isn't too bad, but having good tires and clearance will still pay off for the steep stuff.
The road beyond Odegaard to reach Purgatory, however, is in rougher shape. I would recommend a 4x4. Street radial tires are a deal breaker, but it's your car and wallet, not mine.
The hike into Odegaard is a short one at around 1km to the lower bridge viewpoint. I wouldn't recommend going past. The upper viewpoint really isn't worth it, in my opinion.
Had a lot of fun with the DJI Air2s drone on this one, it can get some incredibly high quality shots.

The bridge I was standing on is the best. Only a 5-10 minute walk. The trail afterwards only goes to the base of the falls on the hillside, and the view really isn't worth it in my opinion. Hiking to the top would require bushwacking, route finding, and probably rock climbing. Pick your route carefully. Stay safe and see you on the trails.
