Hey btw there's a shortcut at quarry bay, you can take a lift all the way up to the island line platform instead of walking through many corridoors

Amazing! Exhausting day I'm sure, but incredible to see the whole MTR network. Well done using the buses to get between the ends of the lines - I'm sure that saved you a lot of time doubling back! Would love to visit HK again and explore the region, I miss it so much. Cheers!

Next up, wait until the new ERL extension opens and try this challenge. Also, maybe you could do a "race the tube" challenge but for MTR, or even try to visit all these stations in just one go and not exiting at all (and also paying the time duration fine to the hungry MTR again xD)

Firstly, congratulations on 1000 subscribers and your time of 8:59:10. It is truly an impeccable achievement and, I think, the new world record based on 94 stations.
Secondly, I am seriously considering doing this myself and according to my calculations I should finish 9 minutes earlier than you did. Here is the route.
Starting in Tsuen Wan, take the TWL down to Admiralty, visit the SIL and back, head up to platform 2 and take the Island Line to Kennedy town, backtrack to Central, Take the Tung Chung Line to Sunny bay, take a 3 minute visit to Disneyland, go to Tung Chung, take the S1 to AWE and then AEL to Airport, take A33/A33X/A34 to Tuen mun, do the entire Tuen Ma Line in one go (visiting Whampoa along the way), take 807X from Wu Kai Sha to University, ERL vis Racecourse to Hung Hom, take bus 104 to Wan Chai (or down to admiralty after the opening of the extension), ISL to Chai Wan and back to Quarry Bay, Do the TKL and back to Tiu Keng Leng, Take the Kwun Tong Line to Shek Kip Mei, backtrack to Kowloon Tong, and take the east rail line up, and end at Sheung Shui, 8 hours and 50 minutes later according to Google Maps.
I will be sure to reply if I do get the new world record. Enjoy your champion title while it lasts!

The real challenge would be to visit every station at the cost of traveling one station over.
That would be so expensive!!
@@hiddenhongkong Just don't leave the paid area until your journey is complete. For example start at Central, then visit every station in the entire system, then exit at Admiralty.
I think there's still a surcharge for passing a maximum journey time, but I can't find it online.
The limit is two hours, but I don't know how much the fee is either

I’m looking into this for my IB Maths IA, may I ask how did you come up with that specific route plan? Or was it a rough logical guess?
Sorry I just saw your comment. I had to do the IB maths IA as well lmao, but unfortunately I didn't choose this route using any quantitative way. It was just guessing at different routes and using Google maps to see which was faster. Although I'm sure there's some area of exploration to be done here mathematically

MTR 100% Speedrun XD The speedrun will be invalid next year though XD (ERL Extension), also now that we have a 100% speedrun we have to do all the other speedrun categories
Any% (Ride on all lines at least once)
Theme Park% (Hit Ocean Park, AIA Carnival, and Disneyland)
Horizontal% (Get from Airport to Po Lam, west to east of Hong Kong)
Vertical% (Get from Sheung Shui to South Horizons, ERL skip coming in 2022 lol)
And of course Meme% in 2022 (All SCL sections including Ho Man Tin and Whompoa, meme% because this project took forever to build and delaying it is a meme)
