    My hair looks like a pretty dark, golden blonde in the sun, but way more orange looking inside. I just bought this same dye and it will be here tomorrow. I also got the same shampoo, but in the mask. I pray it turns out. I don’t like my hair too dark, or too light. And ashy tones look weird on me, so I’m wanting to keep it warm, but not brassy. Oh the struggle of doing your own hair. I’ve done my own hair since I walked in a salon with mermaid hair and walked out with an uneven Karen bob. It was almost to my waste and was cut to my chin. I’d rather mess my own hair up than risk having an experience like that again. Your videos are so relatable and inspiring. I always love your hair.

    20 and 30 volume will absolutely lift the roots because it’s basically water and peroxide. When I do hair color or tone I use a 7 volume or 1.9% ALWAYS even then my roots still lighten a tiny bit. I learned that the hard way as well!

    You wont have orange if u next time put ur highlights in foils(not just on the tips). I dont know the level of ur hair(mine is 3) but level 6 is the best fot transition part from dark hair to light and combating orange. I also use No orange from Fanola..u can tone ur hair on many ways. Just stay blondish..you look great.

    You said in the video that you are cringing because you didn’t use foils but you aren’t supposed to use foils in this kind of process, only when lightening the hair and it’s not 100% necessary then either, especially if you are using a 40 volume and doing an all over bleach! You did an amazing job!! You got some patchiness from not saturating every strand, foils aren’t necessary but doing it in sections and making sure it’s saturated is!!

      Hi, welcome! Thank you for subscribing! Im so happy you’re here! ♥️
      It’s very very important to go low and slowwww with bleach. I will only do 1 session with 30 volume developer at a time. I then make sure to wait 2-4 months between bleaching.
      Day to day I use a lot of leave in conditioner, take biotin/collagen drops, heat protectant spray every time I apply any heat, and wash as little as possible.

    Can you add the toner on the dark part of the hair it won’t change the color ? I’m trying to do this but I’m scared 😁

    How often should you tone brassy orange hair? Mines pretty brassy I want to tone it 😭

    • @DeanndraNunnery
      @DeanndraNunnery  Před 3 lety

      I don’t tone very often but I’d say every 2-3 months? Or just whenever you think the blue shampoo isn’t helping anymore.

      Deanndra Nunnery ya I’m scared. She has virgin hair. 9 mins was an ok color and 20 was really brassy red

    • @DeanndraNunnery
      @DeanndraNunnery  Před 3 lety

      From personal experience virgin hair is the best to start off with the longer time periods bc it’s not chemically damaged. It’s also the best time to use a higher volume developer for the same reason. it won’t damage as much as you think. The worst thing to do is not let it process long enough then have to go back several times. I personally try to get as light as possible with one bleach. When I did my roots touch up I went over old bleach and it really caused some damage. Also get a demi permanent hair color and blue shampoo and it handles all your orange.

  • @sharon268
    @sharon268 Před rokem +1

    Blue shampoo isn’t going to work for brunettes with brassy hair or a toner yes you need to use color to cancel out the brass Demi or permanent color with N , NN or NA I’d love to have a highlight comb

  • @sharon268
    @sharon268 Před rokem

    Use Demi permanent with a 1/2 ounce of 6N and 1/2 ounce 8N with the 10 or 20 developer you don’t want anymore warmth in your hair
