I've had my PS4 since release, and I have never - ever - had to experience "Corrupted data" when putting in a disc. My PS4 has been acting hella funny since the last system software update..
I was playing my PS4 for the last two months and it’s been running better than ever and then literally out of nowhere it crashes in the middle of a for honor match and shuts off then when I try to boot it up it refused to complete the system status check for a couple of hours and when it finally finished all my shit got corrupted and now everything loads disgustingly slow
I'm trying to download red dead and on the second disc it says this data is croupted

Fr i been trying to install gta, i rebuilt the data base and even cleared the memory for it and it still says corrupted.

The corrupted data issue seems to be really common among the PS4 community so I wonder why PlayStation hasn’t really mentioned anything about it? Sure there are articles on their support website but none of them really say anything about how common this seems to be
I always have issues with my games that I buy off the PlayStation Store, I basically have to download the games 5 times before it actually works. It’s so infuriating

I had the same problem, I had to go with the last resort and initialise my PS4 and I lost all story mode saved data like Spider-Man and gta, my advice is go for Xbox

Allright if any of you having problems with corruption look into your disc and look for smudges and scratches and wipe them carefully with a specific material wiper that are meant for phone glasses and disc cleaning and good night

I have both ps4 and Xbox 360 aswell as other consoles (ps3 , ps2 ,ps1 e.t.c.) but xbox is just as bad with red light of death or whatever it's called.
However i have recentiy had to keep initialize my ps4 and its really annoying , today i got message your ps4 database is corrupt, so i reset my ps4 (held power Button down for 10 to 15 seconds) went to reset database (option number 5 on safe mode settings) and it wouldn't reset database (when this first happened to me i got it to reset up to about 26% then would just freeze or automatically turn itself off) , so i had to initialize my ps4 AGAIN 🙄 and go through all the bs of setting it up again (luckily thus time i saved all my saved data to online cloud storage so i can always liad it up whenever I need it).
When this first happened to me i thought my ps4 was completely broken and figured it's a sign from sony asking me to buy a PS5 which is my intention next year (especially if they bring out a updated version like they did with ps4 pro).

Was about to load into 2k22 and this popped up, so I just went with the last option and I didn’t have to delete the application and it worked!! Thx man 💯👍🏼

I am only having an issue with down loading one game. It pauses at 3.571 GB. When I resume it won't install because it says the data is corrupted. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is or what to do PlayStation support leaves much to be desired

I’m trying to play black ops 3 again for the zombies. It downloads the game alright, but when it’s downloading the updates it always stops on version 1.33 at about 420 mb left and says it’s corrupted. I’ve rebuilt database, restored licenses, deleted the update and redownloaded, deleted the application and redownloaded. Nothing has worked. Any thoughts?

Did the initialize option and it worked for some time. The problem came back however and is on-going. It gives a random blue screen and tells me to delete the game im currently playing die to corrupted data. Made the mistake of ignoring it for some time then it wouldn't boot up at all, safe mode still worked so I initialized and formatted the system. Curious to see if anyone else has ever run into this problem...

I’m trying to play gta online so I have to got through the prologue usually while I’m doing the prologue my game freezes and crashing leaving me with an error saying “cannot continue using this application, the data is corrupted”. When I saw that I went to my system storage and delete the data but it didn’t say corrupted under that so I rebuilt my data base because it was stilling giving me that error when I was in the middle of a gta session. I tried initializing my PS4 a bunch of times but it still happened. I tried initializing (reinstall system software) but it still crashed. Then I turned off my auto save but it still crashed some one please help me because buy a new PS4 is expensive and I think this is all happening because my PS4 was thrown like 3-4 months back someone please help me!
