@nephihirt - No need to look it up, thanks. The full and correct name for football is "Association Football" - the name comes from the Football Association (F.A.) who formulated the original rules. When the working classes started playing football and doing so better than the original old private schoolboys, the upper classes took the huff and invented "Rugby Football". They coined the word "soccer" by deriving it from the word "association" in a failed attempt to get Rugby called football.
