Almost completely agree with the review. Have done 20k in my model y and the review perfectly sums it up apart from 1 thing, the ride sucks. Especially transporting round 3 doggos in the boot, I’m constantly going much slower than I’d like to try and smooth out the ride.

Tax benefits aside (which are in themselves a decent incentive), I know you’ve moved out of the city but ULEZ+ and congestion and all that malarkey is such a pain, if this solves it for you, more power to you. Sounds like you got a sweet deal on the lease too. I still think the model S is the best looking Tesla, not sure when the new facelift comes to the uk. Also a fan of the polestar 2, my neighbour has one and the build quality seems up there.

No I don’t think it’s that, we have a mini electric and it’s great, has to be one of the best EV’s around. It’s just Teslas are so shit, yes the network is good but I’ve seen egg boxes better built than Teslas, just buy a decent EV and the crowd will love it!
none of the other evs you mentioned have anywhere near storage space as the model y. i drive a model 3 performance and it is just an amazing car and beats polestar 2 or ev6 gt you mentioned. we drove from portsmouth to north wales and stayed there for 4 nights exploring the areas and the whole road trip cost me just £7 for supercharging fee, the rest of them i got free charge at the resort we stayed at using free tesla destination charger. what an absolute bargain and fantastic car.
@@ADY99ish i stayed at Celtic Manor resort in Newport and there are dozens of superchargers and free destination chargers for guests installed at their hotel car park, i left hotel in the morning with 100% free charge, travelled around wales whole day and come back in the evening, plug the car in, go to resort and come back to the car in the morning again with full tank. i didn't need to spend £7 supercharging fee if i didn't do detour to visit other places on the way home. absolutely free travel comapred to driving ICE car. will do doing it again at different places next time.

@@torbster I sat there and felt so cramped, narrow visibility, many options like buying a normal car. It's like a diesel Volvo converted to an EV. Not properly designed. There is not even a usable front boot space let alone the whole glass roof, sentry mode, dog mode (essential for dog owners) and the wrong layout vertical screen which is terrible to watch CZcams, Netflix or do other stuff whilst supercharging. Small storage space, gearstick is in the middle and it has door handles and vents like in a normal car. Doesn't give me a cool factor of the car like it is a futuristic travelling pod or a spaceship.
Nothing wrong with having a "white goods" style of car, I have had a few over the years and it was a good thing! In this day and age when car crime is so bad, it is probably the smartest option!, sad we have come to this but that is the reality!
