I think Jody makes a good point. There is too much emphasis put on the value of a Mothers love, and not enough credit given to the structure, discipline, and guidance that a child receives from a father. And they wonder why these kids are out here acting out and swinging on teachers…

No such thing as a bad mother? The lady who birthed me abandoned me to be with my dad’s best friend back when I was 15(32 now) and haven’t looked back nor have any remorse in her decision. There's an actually study on that as well. The chances of a child being successful being raised by single dad is close to the same percentage as a 2 parent home. While the chances of a child especially a boy is drastically low when it's a single mother.

From the age of 5-11: I was closer to my mother than my father, but from 12- now I more drawn to my father than my mom because my dad is more open-minded than my mother. I have love for both. Something my dad told me, he said that it's not that women are smarter than men.. I agree with Jody. Mama is the boy's favorite. Daddy is the girl's favorite. Nobody "loves" either parent more. It's just who the child relies on more for comfort. Subconsciously, as a child matures, a mother becomes less protective of the daughter than the son, and same for a parent. I'm more emotionally attached to my father than my mother. I was raised by my father through my teenage years and both together when I was a child. When my parents pass away I'll be more hurt when my father passes than my mother. I love them both though.

Its not a community issue though, its a world issue. But to be honest when the choice is available, alot of men have been the ones to drop their parental responsibilities so can't be too mad when women get the credit.

There's no bad mother lmao Let me ask my older brother who's mom abandoned him and just left him with our dad, if he thinks his mom was a good or bad mother. Jody is right, if BOTH parents are actually there for there kids and they have a good relationship with there kids then MOST not all but MOST of the time boys are mama's boys and girls are daddies girls. My mom is my number 1 but without a great dad like I have, I would of ran wild in the streets. I think people forget how important a good dad is because you clearly see how a lot of these kids end up, especially in the poorer areas with just being raised by a single mom.

Most men won't put their baby moms on child support so it doesn't benefit the system to grant the father custody. Unless the father can prove the mother to be unfit.
