RBI MPC Meet Outcome: Governor Shaktikanta Das Announces MPC's Repo Rate Decision & More | ET Now

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has announced the MPC's repo rate decision. The rate has been left unchanged for the 9th time in a row. The repo rate currently stands at 6.50 per cent. Das said that the MPC sees a good amount of convergence between market expectations and RBI policies. They are well aligned. This was the 50th meeting of MPC since its inception in Sep 2016. Shaktikanta Das said that the headline inflation after remaining steady in April-May. It increased in June because food component remained stubborn. In 3Q, we will have substantial advantage of base effect which will pull down headline inflation numbers.
