Mother of the year.
As a kid I was always annoyed how concerned my parents were every single day, yelling at me coming home late or not calling every time I go somewhere. As Ive grown older, and only care for a dog(💙) but I completely understand where this nervousness derives from and totally respect it's significance.
Nature is so sad
Nature is nature. Not sad, not happy, just life and death.
But I agree none the less. :(
Emotions are also nature so nature can be sad and happy. Death usually equals sadness and nature came up with this idea ;)
We couldn't live if we couldn't die, otherwise it would be neutral. This is why I personally don't see death as sad, but I am sad none the less.
That mama bear should be charged by family services for baby abandonment.

In the woods, would you usually hear birds sounding the alarm of a threat coming? Would they usually squeak or whistle when they see a bear or a cougar or something?

Bears and cougars are not normally predators to birds so I'm not sure if they'd make alarm calls. You can clearly hear a chickadee making a racket, but that's most likely in response to the humans which they're not used to seeing.
Mohamed Farouk actually in my experience, lots of small animals like birds and frogs will shut up if a predator is nearby. Sudden silence can be a better indicator.

and don't even film the bear in the storm.
I think the camera people may have been the reason the bear ran.
The mother bear? I dont think so, it seems she was pretty familiar with the crew if you look at the other vids
it's about survival of the fittest. if incompetent / weak animals are saved and allowed to reproduce that will weaken the genetic strength and overall survivability of the species
Cara Mico it is illegal for animal / wildlife camera crews to interfere with wild animals survival and life. This is why you rarely see work teams similar to this helping them. It’s illegal to do so, please don’t encourage it.
Cara Mico this is no political debate, whilst creating a wildlife documentary, it is illegal to interfere with animals lives. If you have an issue with this, I am not the person you should be reporting your problem to.
I am aware of the assistance we give animals, however wildlife documentaries are strictly not allowed to affect the animals lives- they do not have the correct knowledge to know how to care for these creatures. Beings such as trained vets and possible bear specialists will be the correct people for this, however either way that still isn’t the best.
When another creature touches an animals cub, the mother abandons it anyway. If the people got involved and tried to save the cub, there would’ve been less of a chance of the mother getting reunited with it in the future.

I'd assume that the decision to stay close to baby Hope could've possibly attracted more predators than the wolf; Plus, they probably didn't have the resources to stay with her for too long...

You know the last guy. Who thought he really understood bears. Ended up on the menu ( Timothy Treadwell ) . It seems. A bear named Bart along with another grizzly ate him as his girlfriend. And the sad part about that. Is the bears. Had to be put down. Since they had become man eaters.
