I don’t recommend it for most people but it is possible if you can control your rent and food enough. And really accumulate to the culture here and basically become a Filipino.
There are lots of really good spots just out side of the big cities and also reginal cities with rent between 3500 to 5000 and personally I go with smart prepaid 24gb for 300 pesos with a 30day expiry I keep on hearing you got to live like a Filipina but in my experience you just need to cook with stuff that is local to the Philippines from what i have heard Cassava is similar to potato and its like 20 or 30 pesos a kilo which is way cheaper then actual potatoes if u buy veggies in the market and they have the prices displayed its good and there is not much difference for the meat price from what I could see between market and save more which is where I buy my meat I pretty much just buy Filipino grocery brands oh and the other one is buy your bread from the bakeries its way cheaper and nicer I am going to set up there soon and all i need is a cooktop and a toaster oven maybe a microwave Great video buddy
