But, what’s more painful is when you have to build another form of relationship just for it to be outgrown again.

I sobbed when I first heard this song… Because I was the person she is singing about. It has taken me 1/2 decade to get over a break up. It felt like forever … and thinking about it now, it really didn’t need to consume my life back then, but it really did. Especially when the person left you for someone else, which means they found someone better than you. It absolutely shatters your self esteem, and you have to work so hard to get it back. The lyric “help” - it says so much for someone living through such thing.

This song hits hard when you’re trying to get yourself out of depression caused by a traumatic event. I feel like the girl who got frozen, and the girl who lives in delusion. Everyone around me has simply moved on and is living their life but for some reason I’m still stuck in the traumatic moment. I can’t do anything or go anywhere. The “help I’m still at the restaurant” part really hits every time. Thank you Taylor for this beautiful song and for making me feel understood, I don’t feel as crazy after I listen to it.

This song allowed me to realize it’s okay to move on. As much as we want to stay in that beautiful moment forever, we have to keep going. I’ve been in a dark place for a little over a year and the stormy skies are finally lifting I think. I’m going to trust how I’m feeling and focus on being happy again.
I love how at 2:21 the perspective changes from her sitting at that restaurant broken up, to a flashback where she used to sit there with her lover when everything was “just right”. It’s haunting.
This song made me realize that I've been living as a ghost all this time. Haunting places, people, and moments that are long gone. They've moved on while I'm still here, stuck in the places they left me remembering them in songs...

100% relate. I moved a whole city away to ditch a painful past and yet my mind still frequently drifts back to haunt those streets/that school/those places/those friends that threw me away - as if I'm some sort of ghost. I have to make an effort to catch myself doing it and bring my mind back to the present where the past and future can actually be transformed.

I love everything about her even her anger issues HAHAHHAHA I want to give her everything because I know she deserve it. It's their finals right now and they'll be having a face to face exam on Saturday so I decided to surprise her (but she found out about the surprise so it's not a surprise anymore), I made a handmade paper flower bouquet, a handmade plushy, and bought her favorite snacks and drinks but I never got a chance to give it to her. Today, at exactly 12:16 am she chatted me and asked me to please not go to her school on Saturday because she didn't want me to see her in her most vulnerable and messy state because she said that there's a chance that she might treat me badly 'cause she doesn't have the energy to deal with people. I understand her because I know that she's mentally unstable and her mental health is getting worst right now, I want to tell her that I understand and there's always another time for me to visit her but I didn't expect that that will be the last chat that I'll ever get from her because she's cutting me off and she said thank you and sorry for everything, "Also, remember that you deserve much more tham the bare minimum I couldn't give to you" she said. This happened before but this time I know that she'll never gonna come back but just like what I said to her before "Take your time and rest, you always have someone waiting for you.
