Lover's Corner and Eventide Fire were both on Operation Radication LP but was originally 2 7'' from 1980 one on Grimm Benn, and one on Thrillseekers and are the only 2 Yellowman recordings at the Legendary King Tubby's Studio and so of course the original 7'' with dub version is also super rare
since this was a period when Yellowman was only allowed on certain soundsystem and certain studio with certain producer because of his skin color and since he hadn't yet won over the Kingston Crowd he was only recording limited pressing singles on 7''and 12''. For instance there isn't much else on the Music House Label besides Nineteen Eighty also a Cornell Campbell 7'' but thats it, nothing like a Greensleeves catalog. late 70's soundtapes with yellow??????? sorry they're kind of super rare
any other Yellowman recordings @ King Tubby's would also be super rare if there are any more, the recording of Taste Pattie Talent Show 1979 Super Rare, Late 70's Aces International SuperRare, Yellowman on Gemini late 70's Super Rare, and of his first SoundSystem Course Black South international late 70's you and I both know Super Rare not as much coverage, funding or recognition = SUPER RARE and that goes for any artist
Greetings! ok i have got some questions for u since i also am a yellowman archivest! , i am looking for the single "Nineteen Eighty'' 7'' on the music house label, and Lovers corner on grimm ben label with dub version, and any sound tape with Yellow earlier than april 1980 ? if u have any of these please post
No just the love for the music drives my personal questions or quest to hear these historical recordings and any one has the right to here what they haven't heard archivist or non archivist, at least my personal drive has a purpose your comment has no purpose
never heard the Scientist dub version on the b side of lover corner nor the corresponding singer version by Copie Copewell, Nineteen eighty is out of print and any late 70's sound tape with Yellow on it is hard to find, i'm not so much interested in the rareness of a Yellow Dub plate as i am into hearing Yellow man at a young age when he was neglected and was developing his style way before he blew up in 82 ,Yellow man has been paying his dues for may years would be nice to hear the early years
if you new anything about yellowman you would know that my questions are THE rarest limited pressings and live recordings and i would know because they are not in the vaults these requests mean nothing to you so what does it matter go spread your hate somewhere else cuz nothing but love here love true love and respect to all Musicians and all music lovers and diggers seekers and finders listen to the lyrics of Daddy U Roy Music Addict and thats all i'm gonna say - peace
never heard scientist dub version on the b side of Lovers Corner nor the corresponding singer version by the singer Copie Coepwell,Nineteen Eighty is out of print, and any late 70's soundtape with yellow is impossible to find, not so much interested in Dubplates, Video's, and interviews as i am into hearing Yellow at an young age when he was neglected and developing his style way before he blew up in 82,Yellowman has been paying his dues for many years it would be nice to hear the early years
respect to his collection i don't doubt that he has a serious Yellowman collection thats why i asked him out of anyone no disrespect intended, however the whole point of his video selection is so he can post rare Yellowman recordings, interviews and videos, oh but i crossed the line because i request a rare post while saying i'm a passionate archivist and didn't kiss ass so what! get over it there comes a point when collecting becomes greedy hoarding
iv known tonksred300 all my life and what i know about his "yellowman" collection the rare rarest and super rare would put most if not all collectors to shame no one will ever be on his level for yellowman stuff no one not you the next person or the next person impossible what you see on here i less than 25% of his yellowman collection.. you as an archivist should know what you asked for is rare aint something you just ask to be posted kind of a disrespect.. you dont just ask dor something
he thinks hes an archivist wants you to post something he wants so he can hit download and add to his collection.. archivists don't ask for uploads so they can copy download or what ever they should ask have you got this or that if not hows about a trade... kind of like the lyrics from smiley cultures producer TELL YOU WHAT I DO A FAVOR FOR A FAVOR
I was in this dance !! I use to par with Bobby culture who was the main DJ on jack Ruby backin these days .. yellow man did mash up this dance
