- Approximately just over 3,500hrs later and the Rangie is finally registered and on the road!
The final hurdle to what felt like a mammoth never-ending task was taking it over the pits for a road worthy certificate. Besides requiring one point of noise reduction on the exhaust system and a bolt tightened on the panhard arm ( in which both were done the next day), the Rangie passed with flying colours.
To say I'm stoked is an understatement!
Big thank you to my friend Simone for filming and putting some serious hours in leading up to registration, couldn't have done it without you.
lets get this party on the road!

Ahahha thanks legend, much appreciated!
Absolutely 👌🏾
After all your hard work i'm cheering for you that you got it over the pits! You had it in the bag. Such a great vehicle and can't wait to see what you get up to next mate.
Thanks brother, Much appreciated! plenty of good adventures ahead!
Amazing bro
Thanks Heath!
Excellent news! Not that it wouldn't pass with the work you put in but watching Mighty Car Mods gives some idea of how the rego system can/can't work... looking forward to more videos 👍
Thanks very much Matt!
Had trust in the work but always nerve racking when it’s everything you’ve been working towards!
Congrats, awesome build. Well done and great series 👍🏻
Thanks Mark! Much appreciated!
This has been my favourite build on CZcams for a while.
Congratulations, and let the adventures continue.
Thanks Benny! stoked you’ve enjoyed the build mate 🙌🏾
No matter how much work you have done on the car test time is never easy on the nerves, that is one well built truck, from someone who has been rebuilding bikes and cars in his spare time for over 50 years and that includes 2 RRC for the last 30 years well done.
Means a lot Steve! Thanks very much 🙏🏾
Sweet as build, Merry Christmas mate
Apologies for the delay! Thanks mate!
Well done and congrats on the build and outcome. I have really enjoyed your journey and wish you the best for your upcoming adventures. You have really done a great job on the build and should be very proud of your achievements. Take care and enjoy the ride.
Thanks very much Steve! Appreciate your kind message! I certainly will be getting out and about enjoying the rig👌🏾
Brilliant effort and well done. Your face is absolutely beeming with pride! Great CZcams series and looking forward to you posting up some well-deserved adventures. 🤟😎
Thanks Rod! Much appreciated mate! Glad you enjoyed the series 🙌🏾
Hard work pays, that's awesome 👍..
Thanks mate 🙌🏾
Well done mate. Really happy for you. Epic feeling when a project is done 😅
Thanks legend🙏🏾 appreciate the message
Im not a huge fan of range rovers but thats a sick rig 👌
Thanks legend 🙏🏾
Well done mate, hard work has paid off
Thanks legend 🙌🏾
Just watched your whole Series! Great Job! Funny to see how easy it is to register a engine swap in your country ^^ greetings from highly restricted germany xD
Thanks mate! The car was already engineered, however still needed to go over the pits. First time I took it over the pits it was far more vigorous but it also helps when everything else is new and shiny!
Congrats! Awesome work!
Cheers mate!
Well done mate, I’ve been following the build. Would like to have checked it out when you were in Melbourne. You’ve done a great job.
I trust you had fun on your recent test run down south.
The only thing I’d change if it were mine:
1: Straighten the steering wheel.
2. I’d have painted the flares and the C pillar in Black.
Cheers,
Brett
Thanks Brett, much appreciate mate🙌🏾.
Nice truck. Pity it doesn't have the Rover V8 sound, but understand why the TDi went in. The steering wheel seems to sit at 90 degree form where it should ... that'd drive me spare!
First real drive, small things like that were ironed out after registration
Congrats! Sensational build . . . best looking RRC for sure!
Thanks for taking us along with your work. Look forward to see what adventures you take it on!
(I’ve no muffler on the 300Tdi in my Series 3 so the soundtrack to this video was just like being out for a drive in my truck.)
Isn’t that a compliment🙌🏾 thanks mate!
Can’t beat the sound of the 300tdi!
E/A. Abuse your toys - not yourself ! Rangie looks & sounds sensational. Is there a follow-up upload due from the pit inspection to conclude ? V.
I’ve yet to show the interior so might do a walk around the inside and potentially the entire build!
Awesome News.... They didn't pick on the Body lift ?
Thanks mate 🙌🏾.
Surprisingly not! But that’s also engineered! So I wasn’t worried!
Now you’ll get pinged for DUI 🍺🍺😱😂🤗👍🏻
Ahahahha nah that was after at the shed celebrating with the crew!
Dommage que l'on ai confié la pause du volant à l'apprenti après tant de boulot
congrats. I enjoyed your rebuild videos.
question: what kind of galvanization did you do? dip or electrical?
Thanks Tom🙏🏾, chassis and body was Dipped! You’ll be able to see the process in my earlier vids!
Nice job! Love the colour. The inspector was probably more thorough because he was being videotaped. However, it’s good to know if anything is amiss before it causes a drama. 👍🏻🙏🦘
Thanks Grahame 🙌🏾, Yeah I thought that might have been the case, but we’ll worth it at the end.
