Summer of 2022, I walked towards the hospital where my mom was. A few days earlier she texted me for the last time, that she had breathing problems. And now she layed there with tubes coming out of her mouth, fighting to breath. Gasping for air. It was the hardest thing I've seen, but not nearly as hard for her, that if she didn't get infected by covid she could've lived. So after she lost the hardest battle she ever fought, i thought to myself.. don't ever let me lose control like that, stuck with some tubes in my lungs. This song really reminds me about that. I love this song. Just like i loved my mom so much. Thank you. ❤

I dealt with a lot of anxiety and PTSD and since the day we met and he held my hands as I expressed my insecurities with him with no hesitation I knew he was going to be the one to help me overcome my anxiety and so far, almost a year later, I was right and continue being right every time I have those days where it feels like I’m losing the battle against my anxiety and PTSD and he holds me and tells me everything will be okay, I believe it and everything does feel okay

Nothing is more powerful than true love. For the last year, I've been cut off from everyone in my life. Ever since my girlfriend of 2 years passed away, I haven't been able to snap out of it. I can't sleep, I can't eat, I can't stop thinking. She was so good to me. Never cheated, never lied, never talked to me without saying I love you. Sometimes she would sit there and say it a thousand times. Every time we had an argument, she would say it until I calmed down. Hugged me when she knew something was wrong. I’m a 14 year old suffering from over exaggerated anxiety. I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to control myself. Sometimes I wanted to end my own life because I just couldn’t take it anymore. But every time I listen to this song, I remember that no matter how grim life may seem, you’ll get through it if you believe in yourself to keep moving forward, remind yourself that you’re a good person and remember that you aren’t alone. zum ersten Mal höre ich in der Sendung "Your Songs" deine Geschichte zum Song Control die mich sehr berührt hat.
Obwohl ich den Song vorher schon sehr mochte bekommt er nochmal eine völlig neue Bedeutung für mich.
Mit 25 Jahren fiel ich, ohne ersichtliche Ursache, in Ohnmacht und erhielt von einem Arzt die Diagnose Epilepsie.
Es hat mir den Boden unter den Füßen weggerissen.
Meine Tochter war drei Jahre und ich konnte den Gedanken kaum ertragen dass ich die Kontrolle verlieren könnte wenn ich mit ihr alleine bin.
Heute bin ich 65 Jahre, glückliche Oma und kerngesund.
Ich hatte nie wieder eine Ohnmacht, geschweige denn einen Anfall.
Ganz offensichtlich also eine Fehldiagnose. Zum Glück.
Dir wünsche ich von Herzen alles Liebe, eine friedliche Weihnachtszeit und vor allem Gesundheit.

As a freshman, I have lots of anxiety constantly. And I don't want to lose control of my emotions and thoughts whenever I feel stressed or upset about something. Also, I currently live in a boarding school, because my family moves a lot. I didn't want to have to move anymore and wanted to make close friends. Although, I feel like I had closer friends and teachers at my old school than my current school, and also I miss my family at times, even though I always call/text them. I miss them and my old friends a lot. It just doesn't feel the same. Also, some of the young teachers (like in their late 20s') get on my nerves easily. I can't lose control at this place, especially since I'm staying at this same school for all four years. This song helps me get through tough times, and I think it's because I've always loved this song. It's 2024 and to me, this song is still great!❤
