🤣 thanks Michael!
Nice tractor.
Sure is!
Do like the 2255s neighbor just sold a 2150. Great videos first time leaving comments here keep up the good work. Your viewer from Iowa.
I’d like to have a 2255 someday.
good looking ole tractors
Yes they are!
Sure is a nice bunch of Oliver's. Hope the kids toy worked out. Nice video Ross. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Keith!
Great video thanks
Thanks!
That 2255 is definitely a sweetheart!
Yes it is!!!
Grate jobs busy then lot
Thanks Alex!
No right hand door on the cab? It was an option later on. Fortunately my 1955 has both doors making the key easy to reach. Oh course, they moved the fuel stop to the left side, so a guy still has to walk around to shut it off from the ground.
I know, I’m not sure why this one is the later style key but it still doesn’t have the two-door cab. Unless it was put on later.
really cool video
Thanks Marty!
Those Oliver FWA or 4WD tractors look like they are extra short wheelbase, I realize most of that is optical illusion due to the size of the tires. Still cool!
The axle is behind where the 2WD one would be.
Are cab 2255 is a sweet one also has a different cab tho entry doors are bigger , are 1850 was a work horse here , I rebuilt the engine 3 speed n clutch in college it has a repaint along time ago beautiful tractors there From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
Yeah, I wish this one had the two door cab. Thanks Earl!
midnight mechanic, been there.
It’s a thrill 🤣
Nice 2255 and beautiful 77.
They sure are!!
Any plans to attend Farm Science Review next week?
Probably not. I’m so busy I don’t know when I could ever get away
Nice collection of tractors Ross
Yes they are
Quite a collection of Oliver green. That 1850 was definitely in it's work clothes, not a pristine showpiece princess. Those were big, popular workhorses in their day. Almost like a historical tour from the 77 to the 2255. The 1850 and 1650 were very popular in our part of Ohio.
The 16 and 1850 were probably the two most popular ones. Thanks Don!
The 1955 he has there is definitely a bucket list tractor
It is a sweetheart for sure
Man that is one nice original condition 2255. His other tractors are nice too but when you have an original like that they are so rare. That tractor in the condition it is and being a front wheel assist model would bring a premium.
Yeah, I think it would be a sin to repaint it
Great video 👍👍
Love those old Oliver power house 55 series tractors they were ahead of their time
Thanks Hugh!
G1355 Moline is one of my interests as well as a AT4 1600
My grandpa‘s brother-in-law had a G 1355 Oliver. I wish that thing was still around today
@@rosstheoliverman be sweet to mach with that 2255 advertised as the gentle giants from white motors
Yoder and Frey have both them tractors on there site 1355 pretty nice AT41600 NO CAB WITH duals
Now that would be a nice piece for your collection nice tractor 🚜
Thanks Keith!
I love 4wd 2255s with a cab. Just a beautiful tractor.
It sure is!
Really very nice tractors 🚜🚜🚜👨🔧👍👍
Yes they are!
Nice tractors,we bought a new 2255 in 1974 with 3208 in it,kept it 2 years then traded in for 4-180 in 1976,I would interested in how you rebuilt that wide front on the 77,I’m in the process of restoring our 88,front end is wallowed out, hope you do a video on the subject in the future, great video as usual!
This is the only front end like that I ever had to work on so the likelihood there I’ll be a video in the future is slim 🤣
3rd shift in a farmer's machine shed might get you a load of buckshot or a visit by a Sheriff's Deputy that would put you up against his car hood and give you a thorough search. We made our own hoses so duplicating the hoses was not a problem.. I always thought that Oliver/White could have made some metal lines that fit and tucked in, making it a lot cleaner looking. After all, those connections did not move their positions. Great video as usual, now go get some sleep.
Thanks Gary!
So you said he doesn't use them much anymore. What does he use now for his main tractors? AGCOs?
He hasn’t farmed for 20 years
That’s a beautiful 2255! Would like to add one to my collection, should’ve bought one a few years ago cause the prices are getting salty.
I know, it seems like they are going through the roof!
i was diagnosed with having a....anyway they had to take the top of my head off a couple times to see if i had a brain
They found out it was two sizes too small
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Paul!
Why the holes put in on frame of the 1850 ? Perkins 354 ?
To make getting to the rear motor mount bolts easier.
Hay Ross I’m getting Oliver I can’t rember what model disel tractor I’m talk my farmer and got me brush hog mower
Cool!
would you rather work on a concrete floor or a gravel one like this?
I don’t know, I’m used to working on dirt. Concrete would be nice for rolling things on, but this gravel is easier on the feet
That tapered oil plug in aluminum wasn't a good idea . Bad on Perkins part.
It was only a matter of time…
Are you familiar with a Moline G955?
I’ve seen them, I don’t know that I’m familiar with them
