Wow, what a facility and grounds! The Dutch, Belgians and Germans never cease to amaze me with their grounds and lofts. Not just the large ones like Thone’s but even the smaller lofts.
In the time of "CORONAVIRUS WORLD WAR - 3" in 2020 when your own life is at the hands of a invisible pandemic it's cinema and documentaries that breaks all barriers and provides solace and entertainment in the confines of home.As a lifelong sports enthusiast and a silver jubilee pathological gambler on horse racing decided to understand the sport of pigeon racing.Picked the right documentary and found this video extremely educating to a novice from Mumbai in India where pigeon racing does exist in a few city's. Surprised to know that although modern pigeon racing was invented in Belgium it's now Asian country's that have captured the attention of this once common man's hobby. China is the country that now monopolizes "Pigeon Racing" purchasing the costliest racing "Armando " for 1.4 million U.S dollars. Thought only race horse;s cost that amount of money. Mr Jos Thone has very well explained the maintenance and nutrition of racing pigeons on breeding farms. A real expensive and definitely a wealthy parson's hobby akin to horse racing..One of my favourite boxer's Mike.Tyson is a pigeon fancier and If "PIGEON RACING" existed in Mumbai i would definitely have been a active player in this bird sport. The sport of racing homing pigeons have been around since biblical times. The roman used this breed to send messages throughout rome.,lets not forget the important services this breed contributed during WORLD War 1 and Two. Pigeons are incredible.

Great IMFORMATION pigeons kept in really good conditions, a good families of pigeons, my dad kept racing pigeons for 45 years he was the secertery of stone Staffordshire pigeon club . There where nearly 60 members ,in the club above the swon pub in stone, I was 8 years old I bought a white racing pigeon home that's how my dad got started, sadly dad passed away , but pigeons where his life ,training, and racing ,were happy memories, he never spent much on pigeons, as he worked hard to keep his top pigeons , he always sead, you don't after spend lots of money, on pigeons, just keep the best , and in time things get better , his best winer was given to my dad from a man called mat who spent £1000s of pounds on pigeons, and had 7 large lofts and he new me and one day showed me and dad around his lofts, then after a while he told my dad I give this racing stock Bird 4 years old he won lots of prizes and bread winners ,MAT was having a clear out of pigeons for new stock, so we called the pigeon maty 3x 5th 4x4 7 x2 2 x1 ,all over the water France, his last race from France MAT came home with his wotale ripped 2 half ins long his back was turn in 3 places , he won SANTS 1 St prise 22 mins I in front ,dad phoned redge a pigeons member he was a amberlance man he came down to are house and stiched MAT up and gave him water which leaked a bit but MAT was fine but never raced again ,this his family of my dad's pigeons .ALL THE PIGEONS MEMBERS WERE VERY CONPETIVE BUT WOULD HELP ANYONE, DAD DID FAIIR BUT SOME VERY GOOD TOP PIGEONS SOME MEMBERS HAD , THE AVERAGE PIGEONS SENT EVERY WEEK WAS 24OO TO 27OO, ,SADLY OVER 45 YEARS IT ENDED ,NOT ANY YOUNG PEOPLE CAME IN To the
