As a Mexican-American, I'm so happy and proud they hired a Mexican actor to play this role instead of going with a Puerto Rican, Spanish, Cuban or Costa Rican actor. They've been doing that crap for too long. Of course, I'm thankful that some would actually hire a Latino actor, but whenever there's a Mexican or Mexican-American character in a movie, we like to see a Mexican actor it
He's more representing the indigenous more than the Mexican that you and I are thinking of, still part of our culture, I'm Puerto Rican, Black, Mexican and a bunch of other shit across the globe so seeing this representation of both of my communities as well as mestizo Americans who have never gotten a leading role is pretty cool
Lupita Nyong'o is mexican and she is been in this movie since day one with one of the best characters and Madela Cadena is also mexican. But I guess Tenoch is more noticed because his name, skin color and his outfit in the movie.

Tenoch gets it. I really appreciate him appreciating it. Some people just sit and let others do the work, let the workers get hated for being willing to speak up and protest and whatnot, then turn up later to reap the benefits. But Tenoch did a very important thing in acknowledging who is leading the fight in this and making it easy for others to join in. And this is historically been the case.
They definitely cast the right guy!
Look at the positive response to Shang Chi and Prey (featuring Native Americans). Once this, Children of Blood and Bone, and Blue Beetle are released, expect more calls for X culture representation on the big screen.
Black Panther opened doors and others want some of that success.

As a writer, I'm seeing this in publishing as well, and I think Wakanda Forever will heighten that interest, especially if we all run those numbers up (hopefully higher than the first one). I'm already planning to see it several times like this first one, so I'm doing my part. 😆
I CANNOT WAIT for Children of Blood and Bone! And I heard the Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisen is supposed to be adapted (!!), along with some work by Octavia E. Butler. I'd love to see Legendborn come through some day as well. Exciting times if we can keep this momentum going. 🙂

I think we have been divided by the media and negative press such that these people have not been very supportive of each other. It's time to move forward and heal those wounds and like the movie grow Stronger by supporting each other. Because we are all minorities here in the US and both the largest groups of minorities. So some people would not want us to be more powerful together

We just saw the movie and it was fantastic. One of the best movies I’ve seen . Amazing actors, music, picture, the story of the indigenous tribe “Yucateco “ was by far nothing I’ve seen. I saw people crying in the audience. Thank you for making a movie where we can all relate to as the black and brown.

Loved everything about the movie it made me feel something! Loved the way the inculcated different ethnicities, from the languages to the music. I thought it was spectacular! I enjoyed watching it. I hope Angela Bassett and Marvel get their flowers.
It's amazing to see both of my people getting along, of me being both Mexican and Latinx, etc. I hope nobody will fight anyone at the premiere of this long awaited movie. For my Brown and Black Brothers and Sisters teach your young ones of our culture and where we come from and our ancestors derive from, educate them so that we as a people may learn from our ancestors mistakes but also make them proud by learning our cultures more effectively and efficiently. It won't be easy but God will be with us and protect us as long we keep our focus on Him. May God protect and bless everyone and enjoy this film.

This movie has great mexicans actors Lupita Nyong'o and Madela Cadena are mexicans, too. We come on all flavors. Now, most of you know Tenoch because he got famous with Narcos and others are following him just because he is mexican and his character is dressed with a big penacho, but lupita is been doing great work in Hollywood, she did an amazing job next to Chiwetel Eiiofor and Brad Pitt on 100 years slave and most of you probably didn't noticed her. But Of course Tenoch Huerta is more brown and his name sounds more Mexican than Nyong'o, right. Ohh no forgetting that Tenoch is famous because he did a narco character and thats how most of you know him. He had some other great movies like The forever purge and Son of Monarchs.
All this joy 3 months ago, then today I look around and see all the anti-white videos from ppl telling them they don't belong at this movie opening weekend and banning them from wearing white to honor Chadwick.
