- No. 1 Kansas faced No. 10 Miami (Fla.) in the Elite Eight round of the 2022 NCAA men's basketball tournament. The Jayhawks defeated the Hurricanes 76-50 on their way to their fourth NCAA tournament championship. Ochai Agbaji led the Jayhawks with 18 points and four assists.

Kansas and Miami were in the same bracket in 2016 (Kansas was the top seed in the SOUTH, Miami was the 3 seed) and 2017 (Kansas was the top seed in the MIDWEST, Miami was the 8 seed) but had not met until this game.

For me 2003 or 2012 were the toughest. Those two teams had very little depth, and their starting five carried a ton of weight only to come up one game short.
2008 was just a monster. I’d place 2022 team somewhere between the 2008 and 2003/2012 teams.
It still bums me out to this day that Collison never won the tournament.

With 12:32 remaining in the second half when Harris was shooting free throws with KU up by six, the announcer says "I don't think this game is anywhere close to being over." Apparently IQ tests are not a requirement for being an announcer.
