    I just found your channel and am wondering where you have been hiding, girl, because you are an EXCELLENT nail tech. Your style and designs are amazing and your technique is flawless. And I don't care what shape your nails are sweetie, i'm here for the designs and artistry and since they are YOUR NAILS you can have them whatever shape makes you happy !! Anybody who doesn't understand that simple concept should just stay away from CZcams, you know ? Anyway, I've been binge watching your videos and just love your talent and designs. Keep up the excellent work. Wish you were near me so I could hire you to do my nails !! These are stunning !!

    • @sotoalexandra24
      @sotoalexandra24 Před 6 lety +1

      Nibordiabla 74 that's the first thing that came to mind !! I'm gonna try that on my own nails!

    • @nibordiabla7493
      @nibordiabla7493 Před 6 lety +1

      sotoalexandra24 I think the black background will bring out the fire in that opalized paper, similar to the way a jeweler adds a black background to an opal stone triplet to bring out the flash of colors. I hope your nails turn out beautifully.😊

    • @sotoalexandra24
      @sotoalexandra24 Před 6 lety +1

      Thank you!!! ❤ I think they'll look pretty neat too

    • @nibordiabla7493
      @nibordiabla7493 Před 6 lety +2

      sotoalexandra24 hello again. I was thinking more about the design we spoke of with the opal paper on the black acrylic. I don't know if you have had a chance to try it yet but I think if you started with a thin black layer of black acrylic then put a thin layer of clear acrylic on top of that and then place the opal paper on top of the clear acrylic and then add a final layer of clear acrylic it will give the desired black opal triplet effect. The first layer of clear would be a barrier between the paper and the black acrylic and give the paper the look that is suspended above the black iust like the lights of the opal would be suspended in the stone itself above the black background. I hope this makes sense the way I am explaining it. The opal paper wouldn't be sitting directly on the black acrylic which might drown out the color of the paper. Just a suggestion. I hope they turn out beautifully and it would definitely be something new that at least I haven't seen done. Thanks😊

    • @heatherwelberry1
      @heatherwelberry1 Před 5 lety

      Nibordiabla 74 that sounds like an excellent idea !! I hope you don't mind if I try something like that too. The way you explained it was perfect and I actually have a mental picture in my head of what I HOPE it will look like. Wow, that really is a great idea. I'll let you know if I can get something to work out and maybe I can send you pics or something. Thank you for that wonderful idea.

  • @lauracosgrave2163
    @lauracosgrave2163 Před 6 lety +2

    Gorgeous.. Do u have to always have a strong c curve for nails to be strong? Xx

    • @annabor1000
      @annabor1000 Před 6 lety +1

      Yes and no. It's best to have a good c curve so that you can make the nail thinner and more natural looking. If you don't have a proper c curve or apex you have an extremely thick looking nail that doesn't look natural . Just like above stated. But considering there was no professional training it's more understandable !!! We all have to start somewhere

    • @annabor1000
      @annabor1000 Před 6 lety

      If you look at natural nails , we all have c curves, some more than others.

    • @lauracosgrave2163
      @lauracosgrave2163 Před 6 lety +2

      Thats what i thought these are lovely but no c curve no apex?

    • @heatherwelberry1
      @heatherwelberry1 Před 5 lety

      If she turns the nail sideways there is an apex, it's not the strongest or thickest apex in the world and for the length of these nails it could definitely be a tad thicker but it is there. There is not a very strong c curve for sure but there is an apex rounded thicker over the middle top of the nail. I'm not making sense but anyone who knows what an apex is and where it should be can see even from the thumbnail photo that these nails are thickest between the cuticle area and the finger tip itself which is where your apex should be thickest for strength and stability. These nails thicken as they come up and out from the cuticle and then slowly thin back out as they move towards the free edge. THAT is an apex, so these have the appropriate thickening... just no c curve. My own nails are so flat it's almost impossible for me to get a decent c curve in my acrylics. No amount of pinching or c curve tubes or tools will help because it actually gets painful if you try and force them into a curve that literally pushes down on the outside corners of the free edge until my fingers are sore, so some people just can't get a strong c curve no matter what they do but the apex can always be made the right thickness for strength.

    how did you make the fire opal stone that you used in the middle of the middle finger if you could make a video on that it would be amazing.

    If I don't have gel can I use acrylic powder?

    • @heatherwelberry1
      @heatherwelberry1 Před 5 lety

      MeowgicalCatt many people have made opal nails with acrylic powder so that is something you can look up to see if there is a video showing how. Its not hard. I don't use gel very often at all so I try and adapt everything I see on here that folks use gel for so it can be done with acrylic and it usually works. Just look up acrylic opal nails and see what you get or get some practice fingers ready and follow her video only use acrylic in place of the gel. Its good practice and you will figure out how to make it work for you using what you have so give it a shot !

      Yes true

    • @heatherwelberry1
      @heatherwelberry1 Před 5 lety +5

      Donn Fugaroun well you know what they say.. opinions are like assholes , everybody's got one (and some people are one). So please don't be one of those people who use "it's just my opinion" to be rude and disrespectful. They are her nails so if that's the shape she wants them then who are you to tell her she shouldn't have whatever shaped nails SHE wants ?? I guarentee she wouldn't try and tell YOU what nail shapes you HAVE to have. Freaking armchair critics on here just don't get it. How rude does this sound "I love the designs on YOUR nails but I hate the shape of YOUR nails so could you make ME happy by changing the shape of YOUR nails into something I'M more comfortable with please ?" Do you see how utterly rude and ridiculous that sounds? And that is basically exactly what you said. You make your nails whatever shape you want to sweetheart, and don't watch her videos if the shape of her nails bothers you. You might want to learn to keep your narcissistic comments to yourself. This is HER channel... not YOURS. SMH

      Micah Williams fire opals can be white or orange. Some are even white AND orange.

    • @heatherwelberry1
      @heatherwelberry1 Před 5 lety +1

      Micah Williams all you have to do is Google fire opal and the photos range from orange to white to cream to red... before you type a negative comment on CZcams for all to see you should first do a search on the thing you are commenting on to make sure you are correct before you make yourself look uneducated. Only takes an extra second to keep from looking foolish. Missed your chance on this one but maybe next time, huh ? Lmao too.
