It's fun watching their live performance in the 00s when they played Stokcholm Syndrome and Psycho riff came as a delicious dessert. Years later they released it as a full song and played it as the opening song for Drones tour. Finally Psycho got a full spotlight it deserved.

I have the problem that this song is not very exciting. It's a decent song and I like it, but it is nothing new and doesn't have very interesting song ideas either. In other words, I'm not because it is not the old Muse, I'm disappointed because it's not enough new Muse.

I love you. Thank you so much for being so right. Also, it's a freaking concept record. You can't judge it's purpose and topic without the context of the songs around it. Not only is it the blend of old and new styles we've been asking for, but it's bad ass that they're taking it a step further and making a concept record. Also, who gives a shit if the riff was the outro to Stockholm Syndrome. Its a dope riff and deserves a song out of it. I'm happy they finally did make a song with it.

Christie Wang No way. They are going to the Download Festival because they are the best rock band of this century, their song are like Hymns and because loads of metal fans love alternative Rock. What is more, many metal fans like me are into the genre because of what bands like Muse did during the fisrt years of the 2000s.
Listen to their Origin of Symmetry album, they have more of a Metal/Hard Rock sound on that album, even on Absolution too.
