Really interesting to hear what it's like on the other side of being a punter at these large events..I work on stages as a camera man on stage at festivals..I have tried using the Access ♿ platforms but they are always full of able body folks or semi ambulant who hog the front row and all stand up during the gig so you can't see anything .I always get a wheelchair toilet situated behind the stage for me. I lock it as the crew would trash it .. cheers for the podcast guys

I get annoyed when businesses/venues don’t have the handicap bathroom signed with a wheelchair sign. If they were signed properly I think it would prevent some able bodied people from using it. I also get annoyed when handicap bathrooms don’t have adequate grab bars for transferring to the toilet or have garbage bins or other things in the way.

None of our accessible stalls in Canada are labeled. They are just bigger, but no signage saying who should use them. It's annoying!

@@EmpoweredPara my son used to work at the main hockey arena in Fort St. John, BC. I asked him to see if they could put a handicap sign on the door of the only handicap stall in the ladies bathroom and he got it done. I haven’t had any trouble in that facility since. I keep saying I’m going to go around and speak to businesses in my town but I keep procrastinating.
