  • Welcome to the channel! I am so excited about 2 ACE cards Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon coming out early and being legally playable for BT-13 format. I had the privilege of speaking with a Tier 0 Judge as we do a deep-dive on how the mechanic works and address potential scenarios that may confuse players. Enjoy!

    Good video.
    Cautiously optimistic about these upcoming cards. I appreciate that the counter mechanic occurs in the battle flow after an attack, and that a condition on field needs to be met to use them, giving the turn player some ways to play around them. The colour requirements of Digimon is also a nice way to make sure any counter cards don't become busted due to being spammable in any deck.

      Yeah counter actually seems pretty bad. Especially with all the new removal we will be getting. The fact that ace is cheap to hard play seems like the most important thing for them all

    Counter Timing should've remained as Reaction Timing. It's confusing to have Counter used in multiple places.

    can we think of [Counter Timing] as something similar to Battle Spirits' [Flash Timing] ?

  • @bryanjortiz-serrano5775

    With the change of the blocker action, does blocking no longer redirect attacks? For example, bt12 WarGreymon unsuspends when an attack is redirected. Does it mean that blocker no longer triggers that effect?

      Delay Counter sounds cool but I think that's a bit awkward if its placed face-up. Could be a good mind game tactic though hah

      @JodobbiTCG it could happen and yeah it's basically a mine waiting to go off. Imagine if you will, delay counter de-digivole 1 or 2. Or imagine delete a digimon on the field with 5000 DP.

    What if your opponent has a stack with a ace in the digivolution line and you Chaos degradation would you still gain the overflow.

    • @JodobbiTCG
      @JodobbiTCG  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yes because Digivolution sources get trashed with Chaos Degrade, so the ACE card would leave the Battle Area.

    so how does blocker actually work now? if opponent digimon when attacking effect deletes my blocker, does my blocker still in the timing to block? or my blocker just dead without being able to suspend itself before death?

    • @LameMovieCo
      @LameMovieCo Před rokem

      Your opponent's when attacking effects trigger before you can block, so it wouldn't be able to suspend itself.

    • @SoHIGH025
      @SoHIGH025 Před rokem

      @@LameMovieCo so no block occurs at all right? i was so confused about block timing even before ACE cards.. cause some people say i was able to suspend my blocker when opponent declare attack, cause block is the same timing as when attacking effect, so even if my blocker was deleted, im still able to block cause its suspended and already directed the attack to itself

    • @LameMovieCo
      @LameMovieCo Před rokem

      @@SoHIGH025 That sounds weird, because as a general rule, when two timings match, the active player (the one who's turn it is) get's to resolve their timings first.

    • @JodobbiTCG
      @JodobbiTCG  Před rokem

      @@SoHIGH025so Blocking is it's own timing now, shown in a timing chart in this video. It resolves after active player and then opposing player resolves all the effects above. Because it is the last thing to resolve before a battle or security check, if your mon is off the board during Block timing, it physically isnt there to block.

  • @someoneiswatching9255

    This makes hades force a much better card as to pop something like that for a much cheaper cost.

  • @tirada_de_salvacion
    @tirada_de_salvacion Před 9 měsíci +1

    Something that I still have doubts about is sending ace digimon to the hand, does the hand counts as an "area" different than the battle area? Does overflow activates when sending and Ace digimon to the hand of its owner?

    • @JodobbiTCG
      @JodobbiTCG  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes, Overflow does happen because it is leaving the Battle Area.
      Anywhere besides under another Digimon or Tamer, is currently essentially leaving the Battle Area.

  • @shelbyramin1376
    @shelbyramin1376 Před rokem +1

    I dont understand why tucking an ace under a tamer doesnt make you lose the memory. Galacticmon and alphamon s both have thier effects trigger when leaving the battlefield, and being tucked under a tamer counts as leaving the battlefield for thier effects, so why doesnt it work that way with ace?

    • @JodobbiTCG
      @JodobbiTCG  Před rokem

      Overflow text shows sent from Battle Area or Under One of Your Cards. So being placed under a tamer or as a Digimon's Digivolution Source at the end of resolving an effect is still good 👍🏼

      @shelbyramin1376 Před rokem

      @@JodobbiTCG but it left the battle area when it was tucked under the tamer. Regardless of where it went, it counts as leaving the battle area. This works the same way galactic mons ability works. Either you are mistaken and it works the way it is worded, or the rule is not consistent.

      @@shelbyramin1376 again, the OVERFLOW: When this card is sent from your Battle Area OR UNDER YOUR CARD to another area, lose 4 memory.
      I think the card explains it very well that you don't lose memory when at the END of an effect that places an ACE card from battle area to under one of your cards, you don't lose memory.
      (Caps for emphasis cause maybe I'm not communicating correctly, I read it awkwardly at first as well).
