There are no trashbins or trashcans anywhere except sometimes right next to a vending machine. It is forbidden to throw trash on the streets, you would get bad stares and people might go to you and tell you need to pick it up again. Makes sense, since like tokyo is one of the biggest metropolis. They would sink in trash if they would not keep it clean by the amounts of people. In some parts they are very strict to recycling

I love those old walking roads with massive trees along them... they always remind me of those old Samurai movies and makes me feel melancholy, like when I see the little spirit houses along the roads or between some trees or rocks, it's just so magical and familiar. I've always longed for this life at the court in some early period of Japan, like some previous life I had even though I think that I must have hated it! All the pretend and strict rules. Urgh. But it would've been the small things like water streams, trees, birds, ancient temples, statues, poetry, kind spirits and love stories that make me long for it. Sometimes I think that people who adore anime once were Japanese in another lifetime. I do like some anime, but I am most touched by their passion of nature, food, family, honour and beauty. Wonderful Japan.
