  • Conversation with Ishtar Howell.
Ishtar is a meditation teacher, monk, gardener, intuitive, and writer. His childhood was filled with weird and mystical experiences, anchored in the sense of a unity with all things. At age 13, he experienced an NDE, which, shortly thereafter, propelled him on a spiritual path. At 18, he learned a meditation practice called the Ishayas’ Ascension. Shortly after this, he entered an ashram centered on the practice. There, the Self became clear, culminating in the experience of the Self in all things. Since 2014, he has served as a trail guide on the path, helping people recognize Awareness and relax into the Wholeness that is already here. He also works as an intuitive and an astrologer, helping people connect with their guiding myths and soul music.

Great discussion especially about the alleged conflict between our thoughts and attempting to either stop them or change them in some way. Over the years I have found that I really don't have to "do" anything about these thoughts and the emotional turmoil that seems to follow them. Nowadays I simply enjoy really watching them without judgement, (which would be just another thought), but rather looking with curiosity in order to just see what I can see.

I remember being in my cot (crib) under 1 and I have vivid memories of that. Also in my pram. But it’s older when you get older in life you realise it’s not the norm although it was to me.
