Nice video, and a great offer from the supplier! For the SG43 (Penny Red with the 4 corner control letters) have the Plate number printed in the latticework either side of the stamps, viewable under magnification. They run from Plate 71 to 225 (with a few plates never used or withdrawn). It's quite common to collect all the SG 43 Plate numbers (oras many as you can, as the higher plates were less used, the stamps rarer, and therfore more expensive). I have amassed a lot of these, but some are out of my price range. The Penny Stars can also be identified by Plate Numbers, but this is not easy. This is done by identifying the position of the corner letters against a reference sheet for each plate (the letters were all hand punched, hence being able to spot alignment and erroneous letters) This is an area I haven't dived into, and probably won't. I have a video on my channel, episode 9, "Affordable Victorian Stamps" that covers some of the Penny Reds and also the Plate numbers for the Twopenny Blues.

I keep hoping one day I will stumble across a plate 77 but I probably have as much chance of winning the jackpot on the lotto tonight :)

Always though Penny Red’s were beautiful stamps. Have you done much work on your giant worldwide album lately?

Wrong. Tweezers are for pulling hair.
