The rubbish people leave behind is thoughtless. My yellow lab has had major surgery because of something he ate. Anyway, aside from my complaints, my compliments to Bushman for another great video! Thank you
Blue is such a good boy bless him 🥰
Happy belated 8th birthday to Bluey dog
Remember having a go a walking up scafell pike years ago ...with my two nieces who were sat on some rocks crying cos it was too hard 🤣 we did eventually make it by ' zigzagging! Happy days 🥰
Great stuff
After stressful days coming home too you're latest episode is blissful. You capture the true nature of positivity and enjoyment.
You certainly know how to produce quality content and press the reset button in a chaotic world.
Thanks for your content. 👍
It’s nice to know that the videos help to de-stress. I’m always about positivity 😉😬
Thanks Al 😊
We love blue
with picking up the litter you earned yourself another subscriber and like!
Welcome mate. I think it’s important we all do our bit. Last weeks video I carried down a full camp of litter😂
Thanks as always for the video Allen. Your enthusiam is infectious, I couldn't help smiling too. Such stunning scenery, and great weather this time. All the best!
I absolutely love this video. I'm hoping to get back to Scafell soon and do my 1st wild camp. Thank you so much for the advice and tips you have shared. Still trying to understand and remember all the peaks up there. So confusing. Amazing video footage. Don't know how you edit all that. Brilliant and blue is absolutely adorable.
Wonderful! I am the same with storms. Ever since I was little, I absolutely love being out in the rain/wind/thunder. Something so magical and wondorous!
Another brilliant video thank you
Thank you Allan
Another amazing video Allen, thanks as always for sharing your experience with us all. Stay safe buddy
I love your wee adventures with Blue and i love the fact that you have a great appreciation for the land and pick up everyone elses litter !
Thanks for making these videos ..they are appreciated ery much 😊
Very lovely and the tent ⛺️
Both inspiring and calming, as always. I love your background music. Many thanks for making my life a better place.
I just love that approach to Scarfell pike
Local here. If you're a confident night walker, by far the best time to summit the Pike is at sunset. Great views to the Isle of Man, and you rarely have to share the experience.
Do be a bit careful about the traverse from Esk Hause in winter - at times the (very extensive) boulder fields get covered in verglas. They are treacherous without spikes and tiring with them. Not very fun.
Great video. Hate to see the trash all over. I’m packing for a 10 day winter camp in the High Uintas in Utah. There is 85” of snow now after the two Pineapple Express hit. Went from 50” to 85” at Trial Lake Snotel in a few days.
Thanks for keeping this depressed soul motivated! I’ll have to send a photo or two out when I get home.
Another great vid Allen. 👏
Another great video informative and fun keep up the good work
That was ace! Thanks Al 😊
Thank you both. If you find the flameless heater is a bit limp due to age, drop a pitch of salt into the bag- it can bring them back to life.
Beautiful dog.
You've inspired me to get out hiking this year. I've walked miles and miles through Eryri, but with summer over and winter on its way I want to make sure I'm prepared for the wet and cold so I can carry on enjoying my walks with Jess my Collie.
Knowing what to buy on a very tight budget is a nightmare. All the stuff that looks good is very expensive, but I don't want to go too cheap and be wet and cold.
I'm not an overnighter, I usually get up at the crack of dawn and do a 4-8 hour hike. I won't be going out in extreme weather or in snow and ice. I've got decent waterproof boots. So I'm guessing gloves, waterproof pants and coat with a warm jacket is the way to go for the paths peaks of Eryri.
Yes a lot of gear is well expensive but there are bargains to be had. Keep looking in the sales or on ‘sportspursuit’. If you are hiking then you don’t need a down jacket just a decent waterproof and some layers underneath. Keep up the exercise 👍👍👍
@@alanrobinson2229 It's a terrible situation. Lets hope that soon, the guns, as they did in 1918 once again fall silent.
@@leejohnson3209 Yes,Armistace, how could calling for Armistace on Armistace day,be wrong?
I love to watch your adventures with blue. I don’t know about sleeping in such cold weather without a sleeping bag but if anybody can pull it off, you can.
Hi Allen, don’t usually make a habit of commenting on CZcams, but I’ve only just found your channel and wanted to say keep it up and thank you for the videos! I have a dog myself and absolutely love Blue! I’ve also been back through your videos and love the van build! Very jealous and hoping to start my own soon! Thanks again! Worthy of more recognition for sure!
Thanks mate much appreciated but mainly welcome to my channel. Definitely get on with your van conversion. Tough going but worth the effort👊
Another fantastic video - amazing views! It is such a gift that you (& Blue) share your part of the world with us😊❤️
Allens mum your son does a great job and blue is amazing .
Brilliant
Fantastico
Nice new blue hat Al, it suits you. Thanks again for cleaning up after the numb skulls! 😊
Lovely footage, bonny blue dog
I’m amazed too!
Our dog is fed raw, watching him chew through a frozen bone blows my mind 🤯
Nice one mate. Aye it pisses you off when you come across litter. Never mind.🤙
Nice one AL, really good one this, I have done this myself before, just sitting off the summit for a couple hrs people watching, it's fascinating. Cracking footage as always and pleased you had a good day and night after me and Andy left ya. Videos are class 🤙
Unlucky Day To Be Up Pillar, That Peak Was The Only One In The Area To Be Clagged In With Mist The Whole Time. Lovely Views Everywhere Else Though! Thanks For Sharing!
Hi Al. Another wonderful video. Currently anticipating my next mountain camp in the coming weeks, and have bought all-new winter kit (inspired by yourself). Including down trousers and slippers! So thanks for the inspiration!
Nice on Al stunning location.
Looks like you found your drone 👍👍
Cheers Graham
Great sunday nights viewing. Some good kit is that PHD, looks toasty in that environment. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks mate. It’s designed by mountaineers for mountaineers so it’s top gear👌
Well done mate , leave no trace , well done for picking the rubbish up
That drone shot of Great Gable!!
Hey up lad this is an awesome video and thank you for the inspiration ❤❤😊
Thet PHD gear look lush mate. Glad you found your drone too 🤘
I remember walking these hills with my father back in the day. we always took sandwiches and a flask whatever the weather, lost track of how many times I took a mouthful of woolly glove as well as sarni. Thankfully the technology moved on. Thanks for the memory. keep em coming
My wife did this area many years ago as an instructor, and it seems to be rather too busy now! Good to see you two though, very encouraging to all.
You help me appreciate the money I've spent on my winter sleeping bags lol.
Great to see your channel nearly hitting 50k subscribers mate, well done and keep em coming 🙂👊
Thanks mate. It’s been a lot of hard work but I’m happy and proud with what I’m doing👊
@@BUSHMANandBLUE u should be proud m8, great channel, inspired me to get into the mountains this year and love it
Yes you can honestly see you thrive on everything it really does show in your filming mate, hope to bump into you sometime in the mountains either walking or wildcamping 👊⛰️👌
Another great video. I tend to use the bivvy with the hood on top as this keeps the weather off your face and I use a pillow. It may be better for me being one who sleeps on my side.
Yes I have a good design for a Bivvy. There are many designs but only a couple I like. They generally work better for people sleeping on their backs… I’m a side sleeper
Was up there a couple of weeks ago, only seen a couple of people because the weather was that bad, did a camp on sprinkling tarn, was bless, just me and the mountain, great video again 🥾⛺️⛰👌
Yes I generally prefer winter camping because it’s quiet. Always a lovely feeling having a mountain to yourself 👌
Enjoyed this video, Thanks for all the details about PHD, order going in soon, i can't believe how much stuff you get in that rucksack, Tent, Drone, food, Bivi, Clothes, Camera Equipment, etc etc
That’s a big backpack though at 55 litres. There are some great PHD items. That Yukon pullover is mint!
Humans/Litter is a massive problem. Thanks for doing your bit to clean up after those scxm. Great to see so many people out and about, it's what you promote. Found the drone? The 🐐 The 🐶 ❤
Litter is terrible in these common places to visit but I’m always glad to see people enjoying the outdoors😬👍
Nice wildcamp. Thanks for picking up other's rubbish! Sadly that is why I always carry a bin bag when out hill walking.
Glad you found your drone!
I didn’t. If you notice the image quality is bad… that’s what the controller receives. The 4K version is stored to the drone itself and I filmed this prior to losing it.
Love the gear list coming up like credits at the start of a movie!
Recently hiked Scafell Pike, camping at Wasdale head. Watching your videos gave me the push to do it! Did find the normal route very pedestrian, but for the first time out figured it was better to be safe.
Congrats on 50k 🎉
Next time try the corridor route from seathwaite farm. It’s awesome compared 👌
Hi Bushy, I looked up to the hills this weekend and said to my hubby I wonder if Bushman is out there somewhere with Blue as the weather was so good!! Great footage again, thank you! ❤❤
In the tent introduction, how knackered is blue he's like dude I'm trying to sleep
Another great video Al, RIP to the drone but on the upside we are nearing 50k subs.
Dogs make life so much better
Just a shout out for Lindsay Buck aka ‘The Wasdale Womble’ litter picks on Scafell Pike & surrounding area daily along with Mike Pearce 👍👍
I so agree with you about the litter problem, I just don’t understand the mindset of some people! I walk every day near my home which is in a quiet rural area and regularly have to collect litter which I assume is mainly thrown from cars, it drives me mad. However thank you for doing your bit🙏🏻 Really enjoy your videos 😊
Well done blue for coping with that many people
This one of the few videos that is missing footage of Blue rolling around on his back.
Great video again Al and blue, love the post from your mum ❤, love the reviews on gear gives people an head start on what to buy and not waste money on other items 👍,hopefully soon you’ll be on 50k, be worth a few beers to you that, did the other sca fell couple of week ago from eskdale that was a fair slog up but lot quieter loved it, thanks again Al and blue amazing 👍
Cheers Mark. I think it’s important to show different gear so people can fine tune what suits them to buy for their own adventures. Ultimately saves money and the environment 👍
Made my morning Allen! Thank you for being an absolute force for nature and health, and an inspiration to everyone here.
P.s Saw some drone footage in there, really hope you found it and didn’t have to fork out for a new one.
Thanks 😊. The footage was prior to losing it but I’m hoping to source another one.
Cracking video. Love the kit listing.
The garbage that is so disrespectfully dumped in nature by utter scum really triggers me .
They made the effort to climb the mountain only to leave their shit behind ....unbelievable!
I can fill a carrier bag some days when I'm out exploring . I can't just leave it .
Anyway , still a great watch .
Appreciate your posts .
And the fact it weighs next to nothing to carry back down. Well done for doing your bit👊
No solo dog ?? Is here 😉
👍
Nice video sir next time snow hord campaign video please ❤❤❤
Brilliant video mate. Scafells been on our list for a while! Apologies if I got a bit giddy in the comments on your previous video, the whole fly tipping/littering thing just really grinds my gears. Laura gave me a right rollicking for it 😬
😂😂😂 I think it’s good to voice it. If people are shamed for it then they might think twice next time😉
Best camping and hiking CZcams I've come across much love from Seattle Washington 💜💚 and heres to almost 50k subscribers
@@BUSHMANandBLUEyou most definitely will and I love the fact that you actually reply to your subscribers
It's bloody noisy up there.😮 it would have been interesting to see how many of the crowd up there last there shit up there? Watch that blood pressure. Can you tell us where you get your military rations from please, everywhere I try is sold out? Cheers, Allen, as always, great video. You found the drone.
You should do a heart stone video and give a quick story of the camp when you picked it up that would be interesting 😊
I’ve hundreds of heart stones from around the world. I’ve photographed many to remind me where they are from😉👌
I had some Montane down trousers and thought they would be great for sleeping in inside my sleeping bag on cold winter camps.
But I found that being a side sleeper, the down would compress, losing their loft and were then pretty much useless at keeping out the cold and draughts
It will compress against your matt but a good matt with a high r-value is essential in cold weather 👍👍👍
11:51 Blue is thinking "He's at it again, talking to himself. What'd you gonna do?" ;) Like the new (to me) listing of the gear in the video, thanks.
Im intrigued by those heated packs. Where did you get them from please?
In Australia instead of "leave no trace" it's take only photos, leave only footprints.
Top Man 👍 Dirty B....... !
Come on 50K!
Great vid, I take it you managed to find your drone, or maybes you using a different one.
I asked the same question. I could tell you his answer, but that would spoil things for you.
Brrr here come the winter vlogs Al, Blue with that luxurious winter coat and you looking like a multi coloured good year blimp. Lol Happy Days !
That was a delight to watch. That young kid will be asking santa for some PHD clothing after borrowing yours. 😅
Bloody hate littering
Blue is so well trained btw
Alpkit Hunka XL or PHD Designs Greenlandic Snowline Bivvy, what should I get. I wonder what I would love to use more, just in tent covering my sleeping bag. I mean choosing an item what would make me more go out and when I'm out hiking I would love using it. Hunka or Maybe on very rare occasion would try sleeping under tarp. I understand condensation can develop in bivvi but Snowline has primaloft gold to reduce it. Comments on PHD ytube videos are turned off - there is not much of experience shared regarding this bivvy. many thanks!
Well there is a big difference on price but obviously the Snowline is top banana. It’s clever as it does mange the moisture especially on multi day trips when it’s hard to dry out your gear. You can get is bespoke for size if you need it wider.
One more visit into Allen's land of lakes, hills, mountains and dreams. He is a living breathing story teller and you don't need to buy the book you can just watch his documentaries and then you are alongside him and beautiful Blue. All our lives we will now say 'Morning flowers.'
That’s lovely thank you. I’m glad you can join us for our adventures 😊
Wowzers Al, it was like the Tokyo of summits up there ......rammed!
Also, the mountain bin man......what the f**k is wrong with people?! Clowns.
Managed to take up bigger accommodation than a central London pad though so that's a bonus 😂
Hope the family are well mate,
Adge
😂 it was well busy considering it’s getting towards winter. Nice to see people out but yes some clowns amongst. That cheap tent would be a £2k month studio flat in London😂
I have been up and down so many of the 'lumps' and 'bumps' in Cumbria but never 'done' Scafell. Every time I set off up in that direction it was like a bus queue, just too many people.
I always enjoy ur vids, there is a good vibe to them
Hi Allen, absolutely love your videos. I just wanted to ask if you ever worry about the legality of wild camping and whether you’ll be moved on in the middle of the night? I know your locations are often very remote so probably don’t come into it much! I’m tempted to try it, especially after a couple of sunrise walks up to the Thirlmere and Buttermere pools and loving the solitude and unbelievable scenery. Keep up the great work and congratulations on 50k.
Michelin man! But blimey PHD is massively expensive. I take it you found the drone ...
It is expensive but for several reasons. It’s designed for expeditions and races where every gram counts. Top gear though👌. Cheers Freddie.
People make me mad with litter too mate, I can’t understand the mentality to think I’m going to go somewhere nice but then leave loads of shite there. Madness!
I think it’s absolutely disgusting and disrespectful that people leave crap everywhere on our beautiful mountains! What do they think, the bloody council do a bin run up there! 🤦🏻. The more popular hiking in becoming, the more rubbish will be left behind and that’s sad.
I always take a carrier bag out when I hike because I know I’ll stumble across other people’s rubbish! And always pick it up. Great video as always 😊
I know this sounds daft but we usef to do a lot of wainwrights before we got the beagle, now he s gone we gonna get the boots out again even though we are now a lot older. Never get a beagle for fell walking you cant trust them off lead in that terrain and all they want to do is eat animal faeces, not interested in anything else. Loved the little guy but never again!!! Loved the vid and seeing the gorgeous blue xxx
Well I’m glad you’ll be able to get back out in the fells. Beagles are notorious for their disappearing acts so hopefully you can relax now and enjoy your hikes.
@@BUSHMANandBLUE yes, every cloud has a silver lining, the house seems so empty though!!
There’s a lady who hike’s Scafell on a regular basis Lindsay Buck (Wasedale Womble) fair play to her and yourself Al, and little respect from most
Great that some people have a repeated challenge. Keeps your body in shape 👍
Congratulations on reaching 50k subscribers. Another fantastic video. Thank you.
I am Allen’s Mum and just want to say I never get bored of watching his videos. Where he got the knack of video making I shall never know but he works so hard making them I just wish more people would appreciate his skills. He was taught from a very young age to keep all his sweet papers etc in his pockets. At least he took that rule to heart and I am very happy that he is keeping the mountains tidy for everyone to enjoy. So parents do the same with your children start from a very early age and it will stick with them too. ❤
I agree mum! Start young and the habits last a lifetime. Thanks for your influence 🥰
i appreciate his skills, great work as always 👌
You've created a new force for life and diligence. Allen's is an unstoppable force for good. But what is so wonderful is, he is a living walking talking reminder of the importance of following a course of decency and care for people and places. Well done to you and his dad for turning him out and giving us all a sense that not all the world is falling apart.
Sweet
Hi Margaret. It's lovely to read your comment after spending so much time chatting with you back in July.
Alan's last video showed him lugging a tent and other gear off a mountain, before that he cleaned up Ben nevis' summit shelter, ive seen him untie a balloon off a fence one time and now this 😢. It angers and saddens me that we are in a society now where people behave like this, there are no words really to express it without properly swearing.
My theory is they haven't been brought up with morals and respect like Alan and instead they have clearly been dragged up and are so self centered they don't care about anything but themselves so if they spoil the mountain for others, who cares, they're not gonna go back, they were there just on a day trip and won't return so litter won't effect them.
Credit lies with Al of course for clearing up other people's crap but a lot lies with you and his father for bringing him up to be that way so thank you.
I certainly appreciate his work because without his videos I wouldn't have seen the summit of scafell pike or other places he's been to, I'd still be sat at home. ❤
