I was laughing my arse off during the whole sparring session (compatability scene). I've practiced (and taught) martial arts for years and I can tell you that you reminded me 100% of the overeager parents cheering for their kid. That whole "oh, she is going to whoop him! Did you see that face?" is something you CONSTANTLY hear in the crowd during any kind of belt test or class demonstration.
The reason the Jaegars werent fighting with bladed weapons was because Kaiju blood is super toxic. They briefly mention it during the new footage at the start of the movie. Thats why the use blunt force and things like plasma cannons since it cauterizes the wounds making sure their blood doesnt get everywhere.
This film is one of my absolute favorites to this day and I loved the reaction 😄 Also, the radiation shielding was not for the suit but for the machine itself, since the first jaegers were powered by nuclear reactors.
When I was 12, my aunt and her boyfriend came in to my house and brought a movie dvd for a movie night with my siblings. When I finally watched it, I was excited and thinking that they we're kiss at the end (NO JOKE! I TOTALLY SHIP THESE TWO WHEN I SAW THEIR FANART AND FANGIRLY SCREAMING AT IT!!!) And btw, DO NOT WATCH PR: UPRISING! THEY RUINING MY SHIP AND RUINING CHARLIE KELLY!!!
babes...you missed the end credit scene lmao Pacific Rim had you STRESSED!! 🤣but its just that damn good of a movie! there were no dry moments in this movie. Memo del Toro gave us a mecha vs monster MASTERPIECE!
lmao they're coming for you in the comments about godzilla, but you're not even wrong!!! Godzilla (the american ones) is wonderful for the spectacle and fights (The first 2014 film was wrong af for how many times it cut from the action tho) but like..the human part of the films are TRASH. GARBAGE! THROW THE HUMANS AWAY!! But the humans in Pacific Rim?? They literally make this movie what it is, on top of the wonderful color and filming direction of Del Toro. Anyway, This was such a good reaction and i'm so glad you loved the film. I wish I could watch the movie for the first time again tbh. Do NOT watch the second film, it literally ruins everything the first one stood for.
It's Hollywood without extreme diversity casting, so there'd be more white blonde men. Rather that than a movie that sucks with an overly diverse cast.. Like the sequel
Having drifted together, Mako and Raleigh know practically know everything about each other. Their thoughts, their fears, their memories. Their bond goes deeper than simple romance. Thus, the kiss would have been pointless. I suppose that's pretty romantic in of itself.

Thanks for the comment! The title of my video was honestly a hyperbole, I’ve seen Godzilla but again I’m not really into the sci-fi genre. I’ve only recently started doing reaction videos on my channel, but trust me, I’ve seen wayyyy more than you think sir. 🙂
