Iâm a arsenal fan and Iâm pleased
That's not the problem , u didn't even show the build plays where city players were playing beautiful passing, but once they pass the ball to haaland for quick 1-2 , he fumbles it and gives the ball away.
It happened 4 times yesterday.
He's a liability, city should avoid trying to involve him in the build up play , just give him the final ball for shooting, that's it
Hes been praised for being among the GOATS now he must face the pressure and criticism that comes with such title. Messi and ronaldo should know
Yep, it seems to happen to many strikers praised as "world-class". All it does is put more pressure on them. Just like Vlahovic
Judging from these clips, he should have scored half if he had taken his time and remained calm. But he's definitely nervous with all the pressure on him
Messi and Ronaldo don't know because they always delivered
@@victorhugo3952 messi was criticized for no Argentina trophies b4 he won the wc and ronaldo is still getting criticism till today
Messi and Ronaldo is just unbelievable. Delivering all the time for so many years.â@@victorhugo3952
he is not even close to mbappe imo let alone messi and cris, haaland can't generate anything on his own, he's just another poacher sitting in the box 99% of the game
Goes to show how lethal Messi and Ronaldo were in their primes
can ya'll 12 yo kids stop dickriding them for once?
No just goes to show how attackers (not a ballers) are gorced by media and pundits you could blame it on many thing but for me is one is premiership i use to watch seria A during 90tis that was more balanced far better than any other ligue ever...

â@@katia3666lmaooo what ??? You definitely on crack đđ
â@@jasonremy8688 it is a fact bro he is not in his prime. U slow?
Every world-class player experienced this same pressure, Messi, Ronaldo, CR7, Et'o, Bale, all players that stepped up in big games and Haaland just hasn't shown anything yet under these circumstances. Obviously, there's still time, but he has one of the most stacked squad behind him and an insane KDB feeding him so many chances, there's no excuse
don't insult these legends by comparing them with someone who can't hold the for at most 4 touches
Haaland is young he's still learning

Me personally, Haaland just had to much pressure on him
Yeah
too
We hold him well off the ball in that game tho He can only shot thatâs it so no need to Fokus on him when He got the ball if itâs not in front of the goal
Look at the video bro, 2023 haaland would've scored 80% of them
you mean like everyone else?
There were a couple good saves from the goalkeepers, but overall, the average shot quality is not too good, other than against Bayern.
As a City fans it's not his fault though, his gameplay is completely different than he used to play for us when we first sign him. Now he drop more and help defense way more than before so I don't blame him. Everyone have their own struggle sometimes and I believe he'll be back next season
He won't be back. He never went away. He has 20 goals in the Prem while being injured for half the season, 5 in the UCL. The thing about Haaland is that he only knows how to shoot, until he learns how to do anything else, he'll always be neutralized in big games
@@victorhugo3952 you're right but his performance is very inconsistent compare to last season. I guess for now all he can do is to focus on his shooting, positioning, timing and heading because for him to have a good dribbling with that height is almost impossible since most tall player won't have a very good body balance to dribble.
being a goat 10 years ago: You had to be complete. Free kicks, Dribbling, skills, incredible passing, and shooting
Being a goat now: Be a tapin merchant and be strong... How do ppl compare haaland to messi and ronaldo
@@victorhugo3952I donât think ppl realise we lost cancelo, gundogan and mahrez who were key play makers last season and I think thatâs why haaland is struggling because only de Bruyne really tries to put in space for him to have a go
â@@victorhugo3952exactly mate he never left he's still doing the business top scorer in league probably will win two cups this season which is great considering the players that left last year, the media and some nuggets on social media don't have a clue what they're talking about if he's having a bad season as a man utd fan I wish all the players at utd were having haalands kind of bad season the kids phenomenal
Idk, few years ago they called players like Haaland tap in merchants, now they're called world class strikers. Tell me how Haaland is better than Ronaldo, Van Persie, Lewandowski, Drogba, Suarez, Benzema, etc.. As I watched his games, his skills are so one sided and it works well vs lower skilled defenders, but is easily neutralized by most of the good defenders, I have never seen anything special from Haaland in a big game.

He still scores more goals than them Sođ€·
Being a poacher isn't a bad thing to be it literally means you have the most crucial job in the team as good as team is if their striker can't finish their not gonna get far and literally nobody has haaland is better the players mentioned above in their prime what are you talking about?
In a big game you play against good defense so does that mean your trash if you don't show up to every big game no have mess and Ronaldo showed up to EVERY big game they have played?
â@@Nothing-sq1jw yes in almost all of them, haaland in none. Please dont compare haaland with messi ronaldo.
For me the more offputting side of his game is that he's a giant and has a great physique but he never wins aerial duels when marked, nor can receive long balls or direct passes to him, whenever he's marked by a good or above average defender he just disappears. he does have technique, shooting technique, but against big teams that's not enough, you can't always hope for Silva or De Bruyne to deliver the whole play for you.
Heâs too nice. I remember in his first season there was one time I saw him use his power. Iâm not sure if it was intentional or not but he got the ball, turned around and as he was turning his hip hit a defender and the guy went flying, completely knocked him off balance and then he scored too. He has the power to absolutely flatten defenders and impose his will on a game but he almost never uses it coz heâs way too nice. Wish he was more of a savage like Suarez or Drogba. With that type of athleticism and strength almost never using it is a damn shame
Being hugged by a defender and not getting a foul, doesn't help

Hes having a rough patch. Thats all there is to it. People keep saying he ghosts in big games. Scored against bayern in pretty much every encounter, mind you that was the bayern that won the ucl that season, scored twice against psg who were the finalists that season as well, scores against the big 6 on aregular basis ,just cos hes hit a rough patch people are questioning his credibility as whole. Just goes to show you how short termed people's memories are.
i don't think people's memories are short termed, the reason people have high expectations for him is exactly because of the great performances in his Dortmund days, of course a player may have bad days but haaland starting to consistently ghost in big games
@@xd750lol Blame Peps training and Tactic at City
Before Haland went to City he was way more sharp - eager - put in more full sprints - way more lethal against defenders/goalkepers etc and better positioning/movment
Same is happending for Norway lately - walk and jogs more on the field - just doesnt look as eager to get into spaces .
He almost looks uninterested.
I dont think he was entirely to blame. The city players hardly took a shot at goal. It was just constantly passing until you see an opening but lost possession before an accurate shot on target. Halaand is only 23 good chance he'll get better at his role.
they shot many times, are you blind or something ? Haland was not to blame, but Luck was
Yes they did shots it, they got their chance to shot from faraway thanks to haaland being a target man, always take 2 3 defenders away from them, like what that guy said, if haaland isn't playing, they will keep passing until they find the right time because no target man, whenever they played with Alvarez as number9, they usually never tried to take shot because dont want to risk their possession, they keep passing even tho they're in the penalty box because alvarez cannot clear the path like how haaland did, try watch it back what's their tactic when they played with haaland and without haaland, totally different system.

Mark my words, the best of Haaland is yet to come.

Nope
I think Haaland needs to add a bit of dribbling and work on his heading, in a difficult match a striker needs to have a complete set of arsenal to deliver

Even Gabriel Jesus in man city have goals against real madrid and some big clubs so got to step up more especially if you wanna make new gens football because messi and ronaldo had made delusion that you got to score at least minimum 30 g/a to be called one of the best if you are st or winger

His runs here are absolutely insane, but the finishing doesnât exist
People are comparinh him to mbappe but dont realise that how different the two players one is a viking and the other is the next henry(my opinion). And they play on very different circumstances as well , u see Luis Enrique Mourinho , Zidane ,Ancelooti allow players to move between lines meanehile coacges like Guardiola , Arteta dont allow players to go between lines , the only two players i have seen that go inbetween the lines(in peps team ) are KDB and LM10 . So even if haalqnd wanted to devlop as a complete player (messi , ronaldo, hazard) level dribbling. He couldnt , for me Mbappe and Rodrygo are the future generation for madrid . They step up when it matters the most .and all these youngsters (mbappe, rodrygo, vini, lamine) have long careers ahead of them. There is absolutely no point in judging them by one loss. Be it yamal ,mbappe ,haaland ,vini or any young prospect in general .
The thing is that he needs to rely too much on players like De bryune or Silva. He has great shooting abilities but lacks a lot in almost everything else. If he ever leaves City then he'll have a hard time scoring (assuming the club he plays doesn't have too many insane players).
that's what separates anyone from being legendary
you can score 5000 goals against Fruity Palace United
but it's when it matters that it truly counts
in the match against real madrid, it wasnt really haalands fault. they played it super compact and defensively. KDB and foden also had easy goal chances this match but couldnt score(ik kdb scored). Haaland also got tons of chances but he couldnt score as well so the loss is on the team not him
Now we all should know how great is Messi and CR7 being consistently for so many uears
Sooner or later the other teams, especially defenders, were going to study the way to stop him. And, because he doesnât have the creativity and the flair of the greatest players, once they analysed the way he plays, they quickly found a way to prevent him from being effective. Still a great striker, but yet to become a legend

I mean, he's a real danger, for Lutons and Nottinghams
Ppl harass him for not touching dribbling the ball, bro, he's a frkin 9 even harry kane, Lewandowski and others plays like haaland
Guardiola want him to be his header and finishing machine
When he was at dortmund he was actually touching the ball a lot, dribbling a lot but with city, they don't need a dribbler or smth, cuz they alr have a good passing team so guardiola changed haaland's playstyle and told him to stay in the box and score tap in, ppl say he can't score other than tap in but that's guardiola's tactic if he want he can score
(Sry for bad english , I'm from spain)
Harry kane and Lewandowski can hold the ball, receive and play one touch passes which Haaland cannot
Haaland lost more possesion than passes in the first leg, that is not wjat lewa nor benz do
kane is a great playmaker and lewa has much better control over the ball than halaand they are not the same

He does not have to score in big games he just does not show up at all. A great striker is great without the ball even when he is not scoring. Best example, Kane, even when he does not score, he makes other around him have a great game. If you ever seen Kane at Tottenham, you know what I'm talking about. Taapland ghosted in the UCL Final & Semifinal, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup Final and the Community Cup Final. All he did is stand around in the box and wait for someone to pass the ball. Heâs incapable of creating his own goals like true great strikers such as R9.

At this point haaland is just harry kane but with more trophies
He's like a young Lukaku just in a ridiculously good team so he looks like he is extra good but in reality overrated badly
This is one of the reasons why i hated media / pundits, they're the one who started hype him up, haaland never claimed that he's close to cr7 messi level, thanks to the these media saying he's the goat and now they start hating and put pressure on him. De bruyne and Foden became selfish at assisting+Silva miss
in terms of pure strikers there r no one better than haaland rn. but that doesnt make him one of the best players in the world either.

The worst part about Real rematch is that as bad as these shots were, they were at least some sort of a threat. When Alvarez came even that disappeared, and he was as dangerous as a new born kitten and yet no one criticise him. Even Foden was useless, but he was great in the first match (unlike Haaland admittedly).
Generally bad big game performance for Norwegian, but it was a really bad move from Pep to substitute him. Should've put Alvarez instead of someone else to make more offensive lineup, and at least have 2 people capable of scoring penalties
he was subbed out because he was playing through an injury pep said
2:19 how did he miss that
It shows why he is blamed because he doesnt take time for his shots or use his weak foot when he could have used his lleft
People blames haaland for 'he is only a poacher, cannot be a target man' .But from this video, I think his quality of shooting is much much lower than last year, I don't think haaland need to become a gd target man, if he has the quality of shooting as last season , he would always be the top 3 players in the world

Not his fault but his general play in tight spaces has to be better. He can barely play a 1-2 and his back to goal game/hold up play is smelly. Great finisher tho, and usually great positioning as well, but his heading and his right foot finishing is not that good. Anyways heâs young and heâll get better, hopefully he starts scoring in these big games , stat padding against luton means nothing ngl
Pretty sure Bellingham know how to counter haaland
haaland is my idol
haaland can sell sometimes but a lot of these clips had outstanding saves from the goalkeepers
no holland is overrated and shit
Everyone in that pep side has a role and no one realizes that for some reason. He has no freedom cuz of pep so what exactly do you guys want him to do? Pep wants him as a poacher and decoy, he was much more in BVB

Yes
young players usually fold under pressure, give the young giant some time, he'll figure it out.
