    In a mindful moment I discovered all the books at this store were free.
    I was able to pick all the ones I liked and pack them into my car than return to shopping. The herd never noticed and continued grazing.
    Once my shopping was close to complete, I mentioned the books are all free to someone. A few others over heard and you should have seen the madness, 🤣😂🤣😂 I got out fast.

      When the message is this valuable, it should be repeated enough times until all have heard it and it is imprinted in the mind. We have much more control of ourselves than we are led to believe by parents; churches; education system; big pharma; governments; media ... even our own self doubt.

    This does seem to be a little too good to be true. If so mainly problems could be solved by simply being mindful then alternative medicine would be far more effective.

    You know why the horse ate the hotdog? Because it's NOT meat. It's made of meat byproducts and highly flavored with VEGETABLES, ie. garlic, spices, herbs, etc. The horse is attracted to VEGETABLE-based foods and was conditioned by the repeated perverse version of "meat" offered it. If you held up the same garlic, herbs, and spices coating another different food, I'm certain the horse would eat it with equal gusto.

    • @Emma-wm9jg
      @Emma-wm9jg Před 5 měsíci

      But the meat also has all those spices in it

      Respectfully, you didn't listen to the talk if that is what you got from it. You were mindless while listening and only heard what you wanted to hear and not what was actually said. If you listen again, choose to hear everything, be mindful while listening. Go well and enjoy your day.

    • @thewozmancan
      @thewozmancan Před 4 měsíci

      @@aj_from_sa3260I can see the forest for the trees. I understand the concept of the talk, listened carefully to it and I GREATLY admire Dr. Langer. I was NOT mindless, but mindful of the bigger picture and actually institute many of its precepts into my living day. But you, my friend, are missing MY point about a separate subject outside of the scope you had your heart set on when watching and listening to the video Above. Be mindful of that and think about it a little while. It is OK to present ideas outside of what is expected.

    • @thewozmancan
      @thewozmancan Před 4 měsíci

      The POINT being that there are natural laws that define much of our behavior despite what we think we can will with mindfulness. Mindfulness serves so many wonderful purposes that we are all well aware. But don't forget about determinism. Determinism is a real heartbreak for the mindful spiritual crow (I am among them) but it is also a great relief in many ways. Read Sapolsky's book on the matter. You'll enjoy it!
