The lesson here is to believe WHAT YOU SEE AND WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE TRUE. Don't let someone convince you that those things are just made up. This includes family, relationships, friends, the media, the government, etc. ANYONE who is telling you that what you see/believe isn't real, IS TRYING TO CONTROL YOU FOR THEIR BENEFIT. Don't let them.
In a relationship, you're being broken down slowly and I'm not sure the abuser is aware of what they are doing (of course they aren't because they aren't emotionally mature enough to question their own behavior). This is why society is becoming more aware of the signs. We need to help protect those we love when they cannot see what is happening. As for the media, burn it all down!

You do feel shame and society certainly does not support when you become that person, mind you not by choice. It’s like a scarlet letter that you wear for someone’s actions. Imagine the weight when you decide to stay and work things out… I’m in that boat. I have not decided if I will stay long term yet.
I hate how interviewers ask sordid questions,they for a fact know the answer of....Any degree of abuse always always end up in the victim explaining and explaining..
When interviewers ask questions they already know the answer to, it’s because they are asking for the audience, the viewer, and they are giving the guest/interview subject the opportunity to explain in their own words to the audience and offer their own perspective. It’s the interviewer’s job to do both of those things. The interview subject knows this and expects it, if they are in a field where they have experience with being interviewed. Would it be better if the interviewer just put words in her mouth? What would be the point of the interview then?
