There is a clear difference. One of the things that was a bummer about the line was how hit or miss the paint was.
It's tempting, but I'm going to just swap head sculpts with the Comic Con grey Fei-Long after I get that.

I saw some Fei Longs at Target and noticed the better paintjob and scanning. I was tempted to get it.
I mean I do think they are painted better. Are they worth totally upgrading. Unless you got a pretty bad qc wouldn’t be worth the hassle.

Yeah I don’t know that’s it’s worth it for most. But there’s the small that % that always wants the latest and greatest.

The old one is a bit glossy which some people don't like (including me), because it just looks like a cheap figure. But I prefer its effect part, because the new one looks blurry.

I don't know which version I actually have because I recycled the box. But I don't really see any QC issues with mine, so I think it may be a newer one. My only gripe with this figure is that why bother doing an entirely separate head-sculpt if you're barely going to change the expression? Literally his teeth are showing a small bit on the second head. Ooooooh! Why didn't they have him screaming with his mouth open? That would have been cool. Otherwise, awesome figure. The only Jada figure I own so far, but I'm planning on picking up Dee-Jay. He was my go-to back in the day.
He is getting a version with the screaming head sculpt. But I’m with you they’ve done a lot of gritting teeth alt heads. Only 2 screaming chun li and dhalsim
Oh I definitely see a difference. I remember Juhn talking about this, didn't he say Bison and Dhalsim were from the bew factory? Also, where did you pick up the new Fei Long?
Yeah only wave 1 should’ve been made in the old factory. So all figures moving forward should be good.
Did Chun Li or Ryu get some produced at the new factory? Or, is it just too late for those two?
That gritting teeth head is undeniably better print on the new one. I don't remember exactly how mine looks. It's buried in a tub waiting for it's turn to be displayed someday.
I'm not bothered by a lot when it comes to figures. It's gotta be pretty bad. One of my Classified Cobra Infantry figures had misaligned eye paint with the sculpt. I was a little upset. But, then I had an idea. I just grabbed a Cobra Island Trooper to swap heads with and covered the eyes with the Trooper goggles. I know I didn't have to swap heads. But, I wanted to make at least one Infantry different from the rest. When I get back around to it, I will take a look at all my Infantry /Troopers and the upcoming retro card ones I get, and maybe swap some more. With a few of various B.A.T. redecos, I swapped the sidearm. The yellow and black gun from the Python Patrol B.A.T. looks so fitting with the mainline one. Maybe, I should have bought more Grenadier B.A.T.'s so, I can do even more swapping around.

@@RichyFigs How do I figure out which Chun Li or Ryu I have? Is it the same as Fei Long? The box printing the single character versus the whole wave? Or, something else? This kind of stuff is interesting.
Thanks for the comparison. Your new one definitely has the better face, but I've seen variations in store anyway.
As for the other differences they seem too slight to bother me. Still it's good news for new collectors and for the later figs that get made.
Yeah for most people I think they’ll be fine. But thought it was worth seeing the upgrades and fill people’s curiosity if at all about it. 😂 thanks for watching
The facprint on your 1st release is bad.mine is fine but yes the second one seems better
Yeah I’m sure majority are just fine. This was more just to fill people’s curiosity. This only effected wave 1 so there’s really no concerns moving forward.
I really, really hope that they made Cammy on the new factory... I already have her on preorder as of writing this... And I really wish she ends up with quality construction and paints, and a pretty face!!!
Only wave 1 was from the old factory nothing new was from the older one. So you should be good.
Will there be a feilong deluxe version like evil ryu?I saw the preorder link on Chinese online shopping website,but I haven’t find any other infotmation about this one.I even sent message to jada next level,they just told me they can’t make any comment on this😢
There was a mock for one but no one knows where or when it’ll be released. But it should pop up eventually.
Tbh, imo, there's almost no difference other than box cosmetic. I prefer the light brown dry brushing on the hair, tan wash on the old one. The new one seems too light and don't appear to have a wash. My fig doesn't have bad misprint, but the new one does have better print.
That could’ve been my bad lighting. But yeah it’s all subjective. I mentioned that in the video that it was very minor and most probably wouldn’t upgrade.
Question, so my fei long came in perfect visually I got very lucky but, the torso on my fei long has a strange rubber band effect, when I use the upper torso articulation it slings back to its former place, I kinda have to fight it so it stays in the pose i want. Does the new one have seemless upper torso articulation? And yea the coloring and overall look is pretty great glad this change happened
My Fei Long had the same thing with the torso not getting full range; either crunching or twisting.
I just boiled some water; popped him in it for a minute or so; then pulled the torso apart. Then dried him off and reassembled him whole he was still hot. It took a couple of goes but now he's silky smooth and has full range.

Eh it still kinda has that to be honest. More just quality on paint and scans is all you’ll notice.
@jonathanhampshire6856 oh nice thanks I got to try this, I've put him in hot water a few times but didn't know if it was safe to take him apart I'll try it carefully this time.
Weird so I took him apart, and it turns out the upper torso ball joint has this "ratchet" like texture, which explains why it doesn't move 100% smooth. The type of texture you'd find on ratcheted joints on figures. Basically I can't 100% fix it due to design choice but mine does feel far smoother now after taking it apart 👍

No they only did this for wave 1 from Ken on all figs were produced in the new factory

It’s the same figure there is not one that been released yet with more accessories. The sdcc deluxe player 2 that comes out this summer. I’ll have a video on that when it releases.

Only wave 1 had reissues. Any newer waves should all be from the newer factory. So unless your ordering ryu fei long or chun li you should be good.
