I see some of you are saying in Online its possible to kill at much further distance, I don't know how, maybe because its in Online and my test is done in Singleplayer. But I will experiment more, maybe do a Part 2 to correct myself a bit.

You made a mistake. There are no bullets in GTA 5. It works with hitscan. And "pyrerealm gaming" made a video just Like this a month ago and yes you can shoot Much further than that. He was standing on top of the maze bank tower and shot someone at los santos customs by the LSIA.

You don't need to see em with the scope. If they are outside the game's draw distance they can still be shot. In online you can shoot a player from infinite range

lol mine can't even render down the road sometimes on Online.
l Yamikani l single player has a lot more realistic physics and properties. online the opponent won't render at a certain distance (bc they try to keep the amount of data that needs to be sent to you and back to the rockstar servers as low as possible) but his hit box is still there so if you can guess where he is you can still kill him half across the map. his car almost always renders so it's even easier when he's driving you just aim at the driver side.
Sucks that also the animals aren't either

You can select a higher resolution than (let's say) 1080P, even if that is the native resolution of your monitor. The higher bitrate will allow you to profit from watching a 4K video on a 1080P screen.

You just pull the trigger, and the guy is on the ground already.
In reality it would take a split second or 2 for the bullet to reach you from that distance lol
it would take about a half second for a .50 BMG to reach him, assuming the airfield is 0.5 miles
@@petergriffingaming6115 Its way more. 0,5 miles is 800 m, and he shot from two airfield length distance. Most high power rifle bullets fly around 800m/sec, so that would be 2 seconds, but that is only theory as the bullet is decelerating significantly because of the drag after it left the barrel. In reality a one mile shot would be at least 3 seconds.

Best sniper kill I got is when the player disappeared because they were so far and I took a lucky shot and got em... then I got too hyped and took a screenshot instead of recording the video :(

I knows this is an old video but this got recommended, so i have got to say one funny thing is that how the bullet hits instantly.Where in real life it would take much more.
1/2 mile is 800m and the avarage speed for example of an Hornady 49 gram bullet is 860m/s or 2820 ft/s.
So if the BC of the bullet is high it should have good energy and speed retention, it should hit in about 0.93 sec.
And the energy at the muzzle is around 17952 joules.
So in conclusion the terminal ballistics and rifle harmonics and not to mention the weight of the rifle would make it hard to make that shot standing. But its a game what do i expect.

In real life ak47 has 700-800m (about 0,5miles) range when a "heavy sniper" can by far surpass two kilometers (about 1mile) range.
ikr? & most games give the AK-47 in 7.62x39mm form short shrift. 124 grain bullet at 2,400 fps. same weight & twice the speed of a 9mm which is obv. a potent stopper & energy squares w/velocity. 500 yards shows that the AK still has about 1/2 it's velocity..so it's at 9mm pistol power at that range yet!
Heavy sniper is barret 50. Cal so ur right, effective at 2000m+ and anti material

The M2 browning is the typical machinegun you see mounted on top of FAVS (fast attack vehicles) and tanks, the machinegun on top of the Rhino tank is a m2 browning but as we all know, you cant use it
I mean it is hard e nough to compensate for recoil on an AK or a 50.cal Beretta sniper, can you imagine a M2 browning firing full auto .50cal with NO BIPOD (on the run) ?
