I wonder if unscaled 802s are even aware that lightroll has 0 roll poise no matter how heavy your armour is, lol. The way they just get infinitely roll caught when their latency doesn't save them makes me doubtful.

@@Rakshael Lightroll is still strong imo! You just need to be extra disiplined about not panic rolling against fast weapons, or you'll end up like the guy in the first invasion.
@@Lumenbell it kinda depends - against a gank, spamming roll with lightroll can be a good strategy to escape, as the length of your roll makes it less likely that you'll get roll caught. However, against a single player who is focused on you and will adapt, then yes you want to exercise more caution.
One of the advantages of light roll is that you can spam roll away and avoid a lot of damage.
@@Rakshael lightroll flynn glass cannon builds are still no joke thought, a rotted ghru cs can easily reach 500 ar with a lightning bundle. Couple that with the ability to get out of most blenders a mid roll build couldn't do and you're set to slay some gankers.

Watching that phantom just mashing roll, after every whiff, and using his 30% roll and latency to avoid being punished, and the occasional parry thrown out to minimize your aggression was so aggravating. I don't know how you fight players like that without throwing your controller at the wall.
Same, also his fashion choice is really aggravating me more so since I use almost exactly the same fashion. I'll have to come back to PS to personally murder that yellow.

I ponder sometimes why ds3 in particular attracts people Like this that need to be in a asylum. You cannot tell me players like this do it for fun, it's bottom feeding every advantage for a win. It can't be for fun when abidin and Talal (others too) have been effectively harassing everyone for multiple years and stringing along some narrative against the best players in the game. If you think about it, G gets so many crazy people targeting him that's it's a miracle that he still plays this game.
I think they have such fragile egos that they have now latched onto games, particularly this one, as a way to measure their own self-worth. It would make sense, as a lot of shitters that are on it now are ganking practically 24/7. I play the game maybe once every three or four days now, for about two or three hours, and I see the same nondownscaled phantoms and ganks over and over again. Sometimes I play in the morning, sometimes at night, but it doesn't matter, the same dudes ganking and shitting all over everyone they can.
Just a subset of the gaming population I'm sure. Reminds me of the types you'd find in an OG Modern Warfare lobby. But where as that game doesn't allow for griefing the same way as this one does, their ability to inflict their fragile egos on everyone else is diminished by comparison to DS3
What in the ever-loving fuck? I just googled those two names together - a bunch of videos come up with like 100 views, more dislikes than likes and the comment sections full to the brim with the same 5 people sucking each other off (whilst insulting G9 at the same time)

Trust me, it isn't just ds3. Literally any game with any kind of exploits or unfair advantages to be gained can and will have people who use them and consider themselves gods for it. I left ds3 a while ago to move on to other games, and having gotten involved in their communities, I've seen plenty of shitters that are belligerent dickheads to others in the community alongside abusing the most broken and degen strats just so they can win. Where cancer can grow, it will.

These people need serious mental health, like that’s not even a joke. This type of behavior is a coping mechanism, man this game attracts alot of those, but they’re almost always ganking/ego-centric lords of a whole lotta nothing.
"Lords of Nothing", that's a great way to put it. The shitters that play this game with the behavior they exhibit extends beyond simply the game itself. You will sometimes see them slapping each other's backs in the comments section of the alpha shitter's CZcams channel. They don't even care about cheating at all, to them a win is a win. They must conflate losing with a loss of respect and dignity, so they try to win at all costs. It's nothing that's rooted in reality. Lords of Nothing indeed.

No, if you slow the video down, you can see that the yellow turns around 90deg away from g9. For estus cancel you dont have to show your back, you just have to be facing at least 90 degrees from your lock-on target (iirc) :)
I slowed it in that part and thought for a second it was a Inverted one because I saw that guy look to the side after what looked like Locking on G, and hey, thanks for the correction.

My biggest fear is that the development team isn't paying enough attention to PVP and what's happening in Dark Souls 3 right now. If they leave the unscaled Phantom glitch in the game for Elden ring that'll be a really big letdown. Same with bow glitching. I really hope they don't just drop the game on us and stop updating it after a little while and never come back to it again like they did with dark souls 3
I think some of the devs are paying attention. I just worry there will be some new glitch, like the luck coin glitch in Demon's Souls Remastered. It would be nice if they got Elden Ring locked up tight, with relatively few nasty surprises, glitch wise. However, knowing how many glitches do exist that were never accounted for makes it feel just a tad likely that we will see them.
@@Chris-re3lv I just hope that they stick to balancing and don't let such glitches stay in the game. This will be their biggest release in a long time and a lot of people are really hyped up so it would be really cool if they would stay on top of glitches that effect the average player. I would like Estus canceling and Bow glitching to be gone. To be honest I would also like to have some sort of balancing for these four men gankers.
Invaders can hurt and stagger other Invaders but host and Phantoms don't touch each other at all. It would be cool if at least if they attacked each other they wouldn't take damage but they would still get staggered. This would balance the invasion PVP a lot because they would screw each other up and stop the blender.
@@Chris-re3lv Well I think here we need to work as a community to give From proper feedback on glitches. And we need to start hunting day one, even if it ruins the pvp for a few weeks.
@@cronoz-sensei4259 We pretty much need to work on exposing glitches while the devs pay attention to Elden Ring. I forgot how long it took for between when Dark Souls Three released, and when the last patch hit it. I do believe some of the glitches that popped up were widely disseminated only after the devs stopped actively patching the game. So your point is very solid on that account.
@@Chris-re3lv exactly, but that would basically solve itself if From wanted to keep the game packed with new expansion for some time (which while I can't say I'm hoping for wouldn't be out of the question thanks to the seemingly short, 30 hour, campaign). I'd kinda like to see that sort of approach.
The only time estus/item cancel is acceptable: when you face an unscaled shitter who also does it
5:31 @jeenine for the hard swap do you use your thumb or forefinger when you press on the D-PAD?
This particularly concerns the pary with bare hands.
Personally I use the thumb on the D-PAD to open the menu. Then I press X twice with the inside of my thumb to remove my weapon. to finish I press again with my thumb on the D-PAD to close the menu and then L2. But I don't think this is the good technique.
I would really like to know the arrangement of your fingers, because it is my biggest problem for the hardswap currently, I would like to get rid of this gap.
You can use both the thumb or index finger, whichever is more comfortable. However, you should be using square/x (if on Xbox game pad) to remove your weapon before party swapping.
I wish he could film his hands and controller one day so we can appreciate all the hard work and understand the destruction of those two PS5 controllers!
