Sgt. Adam Sniffen from the 101st Airborne Division delivers the game ball via parachute before the Michigan vs. MSU game at Michigan Stadium on Oct. 9, 2010.
This is my plan for the next super bowl. I just need someone with a ticket to create a diversion, maybe fake a seizure or point away from the field and say "OMG, everyone, quick, look over there!"

I have made a number of jumps with the 101st at Ft. Campbell and while they are Air Assult they still have Airborne troops. Many of the 101st guys I knew were all Airborne Qualified. The approach to the field clearly shows this trooper's professionalism and my Green Beret is of to you Sgt. Sniffen. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY.
That was the best video I've seen in a long time. I don't think any of the 113K in attendance minded that it wasn't "perfect' to some who do this all the time. It was quite a spectacle, and thanks to the 101st for providing another great moment at Michigan Stadium.
You think if his parachute failed he would be able to judge the angle of a nearby hill just right that he could gracefully splatter himself on it as he impacted at 200 mph
The reason for not letting the flag touch the ground is to protect it from being soiled or damaged. Merely touching the ground momentarily doesn't mean the flag has been disgraced or defiled.

The jump itself is enough of an adrenaline rush, the cheers of the crowd are the icing on the cake. His last second adjustments to hit the "X" were very impressive. I thought he was headed toward the sideline.
This is interesting. When i was in the british armed forces we used ram air S15's. They were brilliant for manouvarability and durability. Super reliable as well. I never had to deploy a secondary in over 76 jumps.
This is what we all wish we could do. In my next life I hope to push it. Before you say why not now; believe me there is good reasons. Thanks to Sgt. Adam we all got a little taste of it. what a great view!!!
Way more guts than I would ever have. True heroes on either side of the Atlantic and a reason why us Brits should always be grateful we are on the same wavelength as America.

@MCsonnyNR1 Michigan's "Go Blue" is because of the schools colors Maize (Yellowish Corn color) and Blue. "Go Blue" is the traditional rally cheer like the banner the players jump and hit before every game. They probably used Yellow (Maize) smoke because it would appear better in the sky so the crowd would notice him sooner. Most of the over 110,000 people that go to Michigan games wear mostly Maize as well. The student section you can see on the left is almost 100% Maize every week.
Someone on an Alabama board linked me up with this vid. It's amazing. Great stuff. I can't wait to see y'all in Jerry world in 2012. Roll Tide! Go blue!
He sure didn't wanna miss the game
That's how to enter the arena without having to buy a ticket :)

I love how when he starts getting close you can hear the crowd cheering
Yeah
It was a blast watching him come in I have season tickets
There’s not much publicly safely rated for sound then the noise of that stadium. Absolutely a bonkers experience.
Mindblowing how accurate he is. Landing right on the X when it must be difficult to judge the distances from the aircraft.
Amazing how loud the stadium was.. even several seconds before he entered it. Good stuff, proudly hauling my flag..
That must be such an amazing feeling when entering the stadium, thousands cherring for you.
...by parachute no less!
Wow! This is so flippin' COOL! Go BLUE!! Go 101st AIRBORNE!! 💙💛💙💛
