everytime i heard this song yea i cried. gamalièl arranged this song, and speaks about conflict that he had with himself and finally accepting and forgiving his inner-self in the past.
You can notice the song divided by 2 parts.
1st part is about conflict he had with himself on both reff 'no i never really wanted you..' He really hate himself.
2nd part begin with 'hold my hand, i love you' seems like he regrets, and talk deep about accepting, forgiving and romantizing to his inner-self.
this part really hit me because, whatever the past you've been through, you carried your past and so your inner-self, and in the end the one that really understand and with you is yourself. The wise thing you can do is forgiving yourself. how bad 'he' was, we will forevermore taking this journey altogether.
Yourself is always there for you no matter how bad the situations gonna take.
Take the bright side, sometimes you don't realize yourself have saved you so many times from taking wrong choice that affects you are today.
