Okuma Spod reel, X Spot

This is an independent review of the X Spot Spodding/ Marker reel.

When your not Danny Fairbrass, and you can't afford using a Basia as a spod reel, as in 90% of all of us, all you need is something that can get you out 150 yards or so, and it's bomb proof. Good review mate!

Spot on review. I've got 2 of these on my spod and marker rods and they're great bits of kit. I've also got 3 of the DCI-60s and can't fault them.

I've had a few okumas and shimanos over the years and apart from the price it's hard to tell them apart. The onlt notable difference is that it's really hard to get parts for an okuma (or it was about 5yrs ago)

Is it still going strong , I’m looking for a new spod reel and don’t know whether to go for this or the aerlex.
I tried the 8k surfs for rays , huss smoothounds and tope and they are brilliant . Liked them so much I’ve just got some 6000 inc for my 10ft carp rods . I’ve always been a shimano fan but the okumas I’ve tried so far have been spot on

Don’t get me wrong I’m all for a bargain but please stop saying you don’t get paid to do reviews you get free tackle sent to review to keep or send back and in any ones book that’s payment sorry but it pisses me off to here that I don’t get paid shit as though it makes a difrence rant over keep up the good work

You have to chap because it’s part of the agreement of your CZcams license.
Without stating the fact your then in a position to have your channel closed down.
