  • TYPE X™ EVO has arrived in a separate dedicated flood and spot beam pattern, meaning you can mix and match, and have full control of your desired beam to suit your driving style and needs. Utilising a more efficient technology from CREE’s XP range of LED’s, TYPE X™ EVO offers up to a staggering 1470m of light throw down the road, and up to a 140m of light spread laterally into the critical zones.
You may be asking yourself, flood or spot?
If your style is long range straight open roads, a pair of TYPE X™ EVO spots may be the most suited, throwing light beam down the road nearly as far as the eye can see. Although a pair of spot beams will allow 1470m of light throw, not everyone wants to tunnel down the lines of the great open road. The TYPE X™ EVO flood beam offers a tremendously wide angle flat lateral beam, positioned perfectly across the horizon. The key to its design is in the peak intensity ranged in the critical zone. What is the critical zone, you ask? The critical zone is the optimal distance that you require for safely stopping from 100km/h to avoid any animal strike. You typically want at least 200-300m of perfectly placed light in front of you, and with over 475m of elongated horizontal light from a single TYPE X™ EVO flood, you will feel safe in all situations. Couple that with a TYPE X™ EVO spot, and you have a match made in heaven. Promising an even more intense beam pattern, the Type-X EVO™ is the thrilling evolution of the STEDI™ legacy. You too, may find yourself contemplating the long way home.

I thought it's only available in spot or flood so how come video says combo? Is this option available?

If I was to guess, I would say two lights, one spot and one flood.

@@davidwood1162 if I were to guess I would say it is a combination of the low/hi beam and the spotties.

I'd say one light in spot and one light in flood pattern.

So I take it that in Australia, you would mount the flood on the passenger side and the spot on the driver’s side? How were they in this video?

The mounting of each beam comes down to personal preference, but the difference would be minimal as the position would only change by roughly 30cm. From knowledge, the flood beam was mounted to the passenger side.

@@stedi_australia thank you for that…I’m a long-time lover of your light bars after buying one of the ST4K (22”) bars years ago which fit the nudge bar on my older Hilux perfectly.
My newer Hilux has a bull bar though, so the bars are more of a pain to fit (hence looking at the spotties), but these look very good. 👍

I run stedi lights on my 200series light bars rock lights xtype pro lights head lights even the intera lights blinkers parks all stedi .I'd hate to put the price on all of them it would be over 3000 grand and not ever have I ever been offered any type of stedi lights by stedi I've just now having a new billbar fitted by a stedi dealer and I'm think new bullbar needs the new evo stedi lights . I don't dare asked stedi if they would help put because I know the answer we've been touring Australia for over 3 years now I've had no issues with any of the light on my 200 . But I do think new bullbar needs the new light please please stedi
