@@CherokeeBird I wouldn't say so. Early settlers were Christians but a lot of things that were acceptable in that society were in conflict with Christian values. But things have become better with time and I believe that the Western world today is more closer to Christian ideals than it ever was. Ironically, that was only possible with the separation of the Church and state. We need to make that distinction clear because we want our leaders to be representative of the people and the time we live in.

You could see that Don has been changed in some way. I believe for the better. He let emotions touch him in a very real way during the his announcement, and it was really wonderful to see.
