as you said in the video, the two games have quite a diff in terms of targeted audience despite being both open world gachas. thats my opinion of why comparing these two specific games is pointless; just because wuwa's qol and banner pity, for example, is objectively better, im still not gonna play it since im less interested in the combat centered, story mid (as far as ive heard) and music just edm (i prefer genshin's style)
same thing for genshin vs hsr and the droves of "genshin could never"
theyre fundamentally different playstyle games that many people just dont like, going from a free to move around in combat style game to being limited when you can attack and use skills. I played hsr for a few months and became disinterested in the core part of the game being afkable.
ofc there are also a lot of people who do enjoy both game styles so comparing would fit in their case
Preference indeed, but Genshin has marketed itself as open-world ARPG, same with WuWa, thus the comparisons made. HSR and GI being made by the same company is also another reason for that. You know they could implement it, but they just are not doing it even tho the systems within the games are almost identical. If GI ever improves, good, I want it to improve.

By the way music+story, but not only main story, all side/world/hangout quests are aswell my main cause of playing genshin
respectable, my only wish is for world quests to be voiced, I still liked them though, some more than others.
Both games can be played, you don't have to marry one. I don't understand the habit of some CCs of wanting to bury a game just because they are tired of it. They misuse their influence honestly

at the end of the day it's just a game and new ones always gonna be better so i really couldn't care less 😂. one day we will all quit and focus on better and more important things anyway. respect your opinion though, i have an attachment to genshin and its story/characters but prefer hi3/hsr overall compared and probably will like ww

Once I start playing a game for story ; I don't like to dropping a game when the over reaching narrative is incomplete. Once I start a story I stick with it until the narrative End . But I will most likely start playing Wuthering waves when the Geinshin stiory is near its end (maybe earlier if I here positive things a bout the narrative and lore). Aside from that I predominately play Geinshin for Story(including AQ , hangouts, SQ) and World building /Lore ( from WQ /books/documents scattered around the world) and Exploration.

I still very much care for Genshin cause i have been invested in the story, Though Wuthering Waves is def more the style of gaming I love to do. so ill still be playing Genshin along with WuWa and hopefully the competition makes them improve more.

I loved genshin, played it since launched and even try to get my siblings into it too and even when my brothers hated the game and such I would defend it like crazy 🤣. But what made genshin lost my love was the first anniversary "event". I have play a ton of gacha games, from drave frontier, epic seven, 7DS, TOF, to PGR and many more. So when genshin anniversary was coming i was so excited to see the event that they had planed and the rewards. When the day came there was nothing literally no rewards and not even a in game event. Not to mention it is also wired that genshin does not celebrate holidays like Christmas and Halloween when they could literally make so much money (don't give the excusesof oh its a Chinese game, cus other Chinese and non American games use holidays as amazing in game events for their players and to generate money). And oh my gosh the quality of life too, so many things that should be obviously fixed and yet after 3 years literally nothing has changed to make the game more enjoyable. After a while it became obvious that the devs does not care about the game or the player base. The final straw that made me HATE genshin was Sumeru 😳 the racism that was shown in the community and poor handling of darker skined characters was absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the people defending genshin as if genshin was paying for their rent.
Totally man it just felt that Genshin wasn’t worth supporting I spent thousands of dollars and just felt so uncared for by the game no qol felt like a chore as time goes by bc the dev NEVER cared for their players suggestions even tho they took many “surveys” for improvements 😂 never made any changes. genshin is just really really really disappointing asf and i wish i could unsupport them bc they’re trash for that. Instead of improving enemies they lit just prolong the bosses through animation or by making the whale untouchable so the boss fight will last longer the constellations are sht too hundreds to thousands of dollars for a c6 yet that’s all it does to u a little light on the wrist for c6 like i don’t get why u would get c6 just for those big numbers IT’S RIDICULOUS Genshin is just so damn trash 😭

I just freeze my genshin impact app and hide it. I'm a V1.1 player. I will just check it now and then. The biggest gripe of the game is that the MC has no character development beside side characters and too much marketing to banner characters. Currently, I'm playing WW and a veteran PGR player. I think kuro games have more mature design compared to genshin and I like it more.
Nah I still got like 420 pulls saved up for Furina's rerun. After I pull for her I'll probably play less and pick up something else and come occasionally for events/updates that interest me.
And about combat, what game is faster? Hi3rd, or pgr?

I enjoy Genshin for what it is. Still invested with the Archon Quest. But that's really it. It's unfortunate as it's my second gacha (first is HI3). With how they treat their players and a plethora of underwhelming patches. I'm also done. But I'll come back only to see through the Archon Quests or just watch Ashikai.
With that being said, Wuthering Waves will be my primary gacha. I've seen and experienced what they've done with PGR and how they treat their players. PGR set golden standard for a gacha game for me that's why I'm hopeful with WW. and like you've said, I prefer the darker and mature world and narrative as well. Not to mention the DMC-Nier-Soulslike-PGR hybrid combat and boss designs.
Im still waiting for paimon waifu form to be playable. I think ill try wuthering but im not gna let go of genshin cuz the story is

Liked Genshin a lot and played for 2+ years. But since I switched to HSR I didn't really bother playing Genshin. I only play the stories and new areas but not farming, not doing abyss, barely doing any events either. At least the storytelling and lore in both games is still top notch and I follow it.
Oof. Genshin. Oh boy. If the anniversaries haven't taught us a lesson its that they give way too many bandages to the game for the sake of having player retention.
Despite having most of the roster. The only interesting part of the game as a veteran player is the story, and some of the character stories.
It is just WAY too easy to accomplish things, and although i took a 2 month break. My opinion on the game won't change. People be dick riding the game big time, and because of that, the game hasnt improved the way it should.
I be hearing "oh they be fixing bugs and stuff so they do care."
So does COD and NFS do the same until recently, they finally decided to listen. Bugs isnt some excuse to just not GAF about the community.

Well if u dont like Genshin don't play it as a F2P i never found much problem with it i think people are mature enough to decide for themselves what they should play and what not. And ofcourse ill be playing WuWa alongside it. I don't see a reason to uninstall Genshin to play WuWa.
When similar open world game comes close to release E.g. Project Mugen they will all start "I'm quitting WuWa for so and so reason". Blah blah blah.
You dont need to quit something to play something new, you can keep on playing 50 gachas as far as Im concerned. If Project Mugen is promising and delivers on its things that would be unique to the game then people will obviously flock to it, most likely still play it alongside other gachas simply cuz they enjoy it (same thing with ZZZ for example, many GI or WuWa fans are prolly gonna play ZZZ regardless).
No quitting needed, but being religious to the game like I used to? I'm good, I will enjoy my time casually here and there. And if it ever improves with the issues I have, I do not mind admitting it as I will be happy for the game and for the players.
Eventhough I’m still playing it because of the sunk cost fallacy. I really don’t care about it anymore, making my account stronger is pointless because the game is easy and the only reason why I even wanted to get stronger was to compare it to my friends who all quitted.
Also I stopped spending money as I barely care about any characters except furina.
I’ll play both games but wuwa is going to take my funds that could’ve gotten into genshin.

Lmao story is actually well written since Sumeru. It is now your personal preference but genshin impact world quest are better than HSR because of one reason which is open world.

Gotta be honest with you, my boy, I think these videos are becoming quite a problem. It is ok for you to be burnt out from Genshin... It's just strange that you think people SHOULD give up a game that they like, tho.
People that like one game should not give up one for another. We can always play more than one game and I will always advocate to that.

I feel Like you miss unterstood him, in the end he says He will still Play genshin for story. He is suggesting people to give up hoping that genshin will cater to combat focused players. Genshin with HSR end Game system and quality of life would be almost the perfect Game for alot of us. And WuWa is trying to get those players.
It's a common technique used by CCs. The title is catchy and provocative. It's the same way as "Why Wuthering Waves Will Inevitably Fail."
With that being said, the meat of what he said lies not in the title but within what he said which honestly is rational. In fact I agree with him.

The hate is strong with this one. But seriously play the game you enjoy. If you like both then play both. I hope it does great, but the downside of all gatcha games will plague WuWa too its inevitable. So what will counter it to keep you playing? Time will tell.
Wondering how its hate if he says in the beginning he is just hopeless about the current state of the game. You can hear the frustration of being a long term player and nothing changes for the better. Even worse, you get treated like nothing. We all want Genshin to improve their flaws to become a better game however without any competition that wont happen it seems. :/

If you enjoy then sure enjoy Genshin. Nobody and especially not a video on CZcams should make you stop playing the game but there are also people out here who have been there since day one who see it completely differently. Surely they still like Genshin but it could be so much better. It has so much more potential but they don't use it. Surely the majority will stay but even Genshin will be losing players if they don't care about the fan base enough because there is much better games out there at some point.
