@@colinbird1964 Try again. That wasn't the refit Enterprise. Take a closer look at the hull number. It reads "NCC-1701-A", which isn't even a Constitution class vessel, just one very similar to the Constitution refit.
What would have happened if the pilot had hit the Enterprise with a missile (non-nuclear) or two? ;-) I'm curious if the pilot was close enough to read "ENTERPRISE" below the shuttle bay doors (or anywhere)?
A main point of "TiY" was Spock raised a concern the F-104 would have popped them with an AIR-2A nuclear tipped rocket and the .5 kiloton explosion would have wrecked Enterprise. The F-18 was not in service in the late 1960s and the AIR-2A was long gone from the inventory by 1980.
@@tomcurda4203 462 Trivia... I was a weapons puke in the USAF. Know why I think UFOs are BS? If an A-12 (fighter version of the SR-71) had been fitted with AIR-2As they would have been more than a match any UFOs. Nukes and pure raw speed can made up for a lot of short comings. An AIR-2A is unguided. Once launched the abort code is "You're f***ed".
ST:TOS episode TiY had the Enterprise in Earth's atmosphere, something it was never designed to be in, near-crippled with no shields or warp drive, barely 1/3 impulse capability (but still able to outrun the F-104, even an F-15), and no weapons, after a slingshot accident around the Sun. If the missile hit or, more likely, exploded next to the E, I think it would survive, just about, as the metal, durasteel, was capable of taking a couple of photon torpedo strikes. But the E would be more wounded than it was in the accident. IMO.
@@chrismaguire3667 ... An AIR-2A is a nuclear tipped anti-aircraft rocket. The theory was if a formation of Soviet bombers then a single blast from an AIR-2A would demolish every aircraft in a 2 mile diameter. In the old TOS episode "Balance of Terror" the Enterprise was nearly wrecked by a nuke and she had her shields up. Me? I remember the missiles from 1973 when F-101s were loaded up and they were taxing down the ramp to stop a Soviet airborne corps that was going to invade Israel. Yes, WWIII was *that* close in 1973 and the history teachers say nothing about it.

I think what we're seeing here is an F-18 Hornet ...... Today's jet's are not as fast as the F-104s and F-5 Phantoms of Yesteryear ........ Throughout the test of time, fighter jet specialists have come to the conclusion that there is no benefit strategically to fly at Mach 2.5 or beyond ...... unless you're an air force pilot who happens to encounter a temporarily disabled Star Ship, attempting to escape into high orbit ....... Here is the F-104 czcams.com/video/pBW0o38MbvY/video.html
Yesterday is not today, Today is not tomorrow & tomorrow is not today. The past is not the present and the present is not the future. All 3 quite distinctive each in unique within its perimeter of time frame spock yet all 3 appear to be 1 called time. Like The Holy Trinity. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Each distinct as its own yet all 3 are still One God. Jesus is Alive!!! ⛪️🏃♂️💕🌍💨
Problem: The aircraft that is in pursuit is a low level aircraft that could not even come close to chasing the enterprise. You should redo it with an aircraft that could actually match the climb rate and altitude such as the f104 in the original that can climb twice as fast as today's aircraft and fly three times higher even to the beginning of space as we know it. It burns liquid oxygen fuel where the f18 running on jet fuel would rapidly burn out and fall to earth. Sometimes the older toys are much better.
You are thinking of the NF-104A used in astronaut training, Chuck Yeager crashed one of them when he entered a flat spin. Anyhow the regular Lockheed F-104 was powered by the General Electric J-79 turbojet engine. The NF-104A also had a liquid fuel rocket mounted in the tail, that could push the aircraft to the edge of space. The aircraft that could far surpass the F-104 in performance was the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, however it's existence was not public knowledge until a few years later when President Lyndon Johnson inadvertently mentioned it at a press conference. The SR-71 was capable of 80,000+ feet at Mach 3+, its true altitude and speed capabilities are still classified top secret over 25 years after its retirement. I forgot to mention that Chuck Yeager ejected from and survived the crash of the NF-104A.
Go back and try again. You have the wrong model of the Enterprise, the 1701 original is the correct one from the episode and the aircraft was a USAF -104 Starfighter vs a US Navy F-18 Hornet. Be accurate before publishing.
For me, the NCC 1701 refit will always be the most beautiful spaceship.
Hmm. The Enterprise makes a whooshing sound while flying in space, but no sound in an atmosphere…. Nonetheless, excellent work!
Ever notice the Enterprise always flys right side up even when in spàce where it doesn't matter?
It's just the perspective of the camera. There is no "up" or "down" in space, but the relative viewpoint is reassuring for an audience unused to that.
I just watched this episode tomorrow
HEY I LIKE THW IDEA..
USING A ANOTHER
ENTERPRISE.....IN
THIS .
Get the hint here folks,....leave the past behind you.move forward please.i caught that.
No, that's the D-model. The G-model had a nose turret.
Would have been better if the refit saw the original.
Maybe one day I will do that. 🖒
Hey guys that's the refit enterprise that's not the original constitution class so if you're gonna do a remake of yesterday's enterprise do it right
My idea was to make a version of my own not a copy of the original as I like the refit version of the enterprise more .
It's also the wrong fighter plane. In Tomorrow is Yesterday, Capt. Jeffrey flew an F-104, not an F/A-18 as seen here.
Like I said this is my version. I decided to use a different plane as well.
I may do another one with Tomcats.

This is the video release of AATIP case number 137. Great job!
Cool you should show the F16 chit chat and trying to get into a dog fight and the Enterprise engaging wrap drive then it be fun
But then what about the *F/A18* in the video?
