- Hey folks, welcome to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild! I've owned this game since 2018, but I've somehow never beaten it. For the next few months I'll be making my first complete journey through Hyrule with the additional goal of collecting all the clothing I come across!
Breath of the Wild falls into a genre of game that has never been my favorite, and somehow managed to become one of my favorite pieces of media of all time. It's crazy how much nostalgia I felt for something I played less than a year ago when reviewing this footage.
I honestly don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Breath of the Wild changed my life.

Therm just so you know the file wasn't corrupted, once you beat the final boss it takes you right outside the sanctum just before you entered and fought the final boss, love the video btw.
Anyone else appreciate how people like him had trouble finding the memories in Botw so in Totk they made them visible from space?

Fun fact, it actually took me a year to get off the great plateau. Not because i was bad, but because i did the same thing as you. Got it for christmas, played a bit, then got overwhelmed.

Same here, i did the first shrine on the great plateau then never played again for like 2 years because 'I didn't like the game'. Then ToTK came out and I loved that game and decided to give botw another chance and I loved it.
same in the sense that when I finally purchased the switch, I so wanted to play zelda since it’s one of my fave games ever, but seeing some playthrough got me so overwhelmed about how big and open the world is that I put off buying the game for months haha

I'm having not the best day, so seeing Therm run off a cliff less than 3 minutes into the video made me laugh. I'm excited to spend the next several days watching this on and off when I can. While not my favorite Zelda (shout out to A Link Between Worlds on the 3DS, my favorite Zelda) BotW is still a great game. Can't wait!
Edit: Love how Therm calls the Guardian music 'cool' and whatnot when that music is anxiety incarnate for me. Literally the other day the first few piano notes of the guardian spotting you theme was playing in my head on loop, which gave me such massive anxiety.

I cried six times playing breath of the wild. I genuinely will never forget how life changing that game was, I have spent so long playing it I can explain how fresh that shit felt. No game could ever have as big of an impact on the world that botw did

90% of the content I watch is Zelda, nearly all of it BotW or TotK. I play those two games almost exclusively. And this is in my top 3 BotW playthroughs. It was fun seeing someone make some of the same mistakes I did, for once, though some things were obvious for you that I agonised over. The editing was just great, though. Nothing was painful because Peri made sure nothing frustrating lasted too long. Great vid!
Your save didn’t actually get corrupted after beating ganon, you just go back to the save before you fought him after beating him so that all the enemies and all that still exist
This video needs like 3 times as many views. I've played and watched hundreds of hours of BOTW and this playthrough was still hella entertaining. Well done on the commentary and editing!
Also please tell me someone told Therm there's no postgame and it always goes back to the previous save after beating Ganon

i normally have an incredibly short attention span and can’t finish watching movies but i enjoyed this whole video all the way through. botw has been my all time favorite video game and watching you play blind made me feel like i was experiencing it for the first time again. this video really helped me get through my super long and boring painting class today and i really loved how hilarious your commentary and jokes were. thank you both peri and therm for this amazing video i really hope we can see more long videos like this in the future! :)

This entire video is just insane to me. As a video editor myself, it's hard to even fathom trying to edit a 7 HOUR LONG video. I can't put into words how much props I give to peri. You're a legend.
And to Therm, I think you should try out Splatoon 3! You're playstyle and what you like to play and don't like to play (as far as i can tell) fits well with the game. I'm not sure if you like shooters, but i dont like em, but still enjoy splatoon. It's fun even if you don't enjoy them. Love you, dude. Keep doing what you're doing! :D

watching this and was reminded that i didnt realize you had to go to the towers to get the world map the first time i played botw until i saw therm do it on stream and i immediately opened my game, got the map, saved then quit because i was too embarrassed to keep playing anyway thanks for streaming this game and thanks peri for editing this down 10/10 comfort content

This was excellent. I don't have the energy to watch full streams or vods, but the editors on this channel always do an incredible job of editing streams into fun, coherent, and attention-keeping videos. This may have taken me several sittings over several days to watch, but that doesn't make my any less grateful it exists in this format- especially for future endeavors when I will just desperately need background noise, this is going to be great for that.

I remember very specifically that for the shrine quest where you have to get lightning to strike the thing, I decided to go idiot mode and just put on the rubber helmet, hold a metal weapon and get zapped directly instead of just leaving the metal weapon on top of it lol
