i don't think i've seen such a big smile on Mareks face but seeing him drive the Lada down the highway is awesome.

Сколько смотрю канал и не знал что Марк русский) Поздравляю с покупкой машины мечты. Тем более в Польше найти шаху это подвиг, у нас то их мало в нормальном состоянии, а там боюсь себе представить. Удачи в ее тюнинге и доведении до ума, еще раз поздравляю Марк!

Love the idea of a longer shift lever, I guess it would be beneficial to make/install a short shifter to compensate for the longer shift knob travel:) watching this video has definitely brightened my day, good luck with the new car and cant wait to see more of it
Congratulations, I love that car. Now that I remember it was my father's first car when he was 20 years old or something like that, I'm from Argentina and here they are almost non-existent, it's a very tough and reliable car

Some of the stories I have talking with my grandparents are when they finally got a car, a Lada are wonderful, the trips they were able to take and the places they were able to visit in it are amazing. they later got a maluch but they always spoke fondly of the Lada

Old Zhigulis... They made all the way from Russia to Brazil. We have some Zhigulis here, too... Their numbers dwindling each year, but overall, nice cars.
My grandpa had one, I always loved that car, and one day I will have one of my own. Even if I have to import it from Europe.
I agree with Marek, there is nothing really good about the car, but when you grow up with them, they become special.
Nothing is fancy on a Zhiguli, it is nothing more than four wheels, and engine and seats, but it is MAGICAL.
I know this is a lot late, but congratulations, Marek. Dreams are not made reality every day.

third, I think the original gear selector was longer and slightly bended and would fit perfectly

Congrats, Marek! Ladas are great! I do own one, 2103, from 1976 as well. And dash is originally from 2103/2106. They been same. Newer ones didnt had those centre top, round vents, or Wood-like co sole surrounding. . I hope it will give You a lot of fun and Joy to drive it!

For that money you could have bought a "fast" car or a "cool" car or a "popular" car... but you bought the one that felt RIGHT. Some people chase that feeling for a long time and go through 5 or 6 "cool" cars looking for it (and still don't find it). The BEST car I've ever owned cost me about the same as your Lada, and I sold my fast & expensive car to get it. When you know, you know. I'm glad you found your dream car! 😎

A few years ago i had a 4takt Wartburg and the gear stick was a 50cm long wooden axe handle. It was the best, i can only recommend, 11/10.
I really like the addition its such a cool thing to see all these diffrent cars and all the diffrent models. I am really enjoying that marek got his new car love to see it :)

ladas are actually one of my weird dream cars too,they're really rare here in the uk, I love retro boxy cars,they look cool slammed,it is a legitimate piece of history and people can actually get mad performance out of them, gunna be cool to see where this goes
