You guys finally convinced Bill Murray to do this stuff, and you delete his scenes.
Wild.
Just, like,as an actual Ghostbusters fan, who knows HE was the reason this stuff was held up for decades... It's wild, he does it and his stuff gets axed out.
faaaacts
I think he might have also come back to honor Harold Ramis. Maybe he felt guilty for the long standing feud they had and only mended their relationship right be Harold passed.
But I agree Bill wasn't used to his full potential in Frozen Empire, not even close.
He needed more screentime
I hate when this scene is cut ✂️
@@NY_7 I'm just glad they were able to talk before Harold passed.
You've got to be kidding! This would have been my fav scene in the entire film!! I can't believe they cut a BILL MURRAY scene! 🤯
I KNOW THE THIRD SCENE THE THIRD SCENE WITH BILL MURRAY 😤
That’s just cheek
After seeing all the deleted scenes presented on the disc, I think they should have just been kept in the movie.
Peter should've gotten more airtime.
Let's hope he shows up more in Ghostbusters 5.
Bill Murray a legend
It seemed like he showed up for one day of filming, and they just put him in different outfits.
And Venkman!
I think the only way Bill Murray will still do Ghostbusters is in small capacities. I totally agree with you though.
"What would you do back in the day?"
"I would go off and not care"
-Venkman
That's a good little scene, should have left it in.
To THIS DAY I believe Rick Moranis should have done a freaking cameo…..dude was LITERALLY in BOTH of the original movies
I think they tried for Afterlife, he said no, dudes completely retired from acting.
@@Ashkihyena it’s unfortunate…..he wouldn’t even have needed a actual “acting” speaking spot….just be doing something in the background of a scene for all of 5 minutes, then boom scene over,he can go home…..just enough for fans to say “OMG ITS LUIS!😁” 😶
From what I heard in one of his interviews, he only does things that interest him.
He almost came back for that new Honey, I Shrunk Kids movie that never got off the ground.
@@billybarnett9518 He should have at least come back for this….its really a shame. Again, guy was on both OG films, and is a well known 90s actor, and he couldn’t get over himself to for a quick 5 minute,no-talking-just-a-background-character-guy scene…..SMH
Bill Murray my life saver 🥰
Most of the deleted scenes were actually good and should’ve stayed! 1:19
Wish they would have kept this scene in. One day they will shine a light to how important peter was to everyone and the operation. Yeah, he wasnt technical and like ray said, "he never studied." But he was the personality of the group, anything city wise.... government wise happened, he handled it. Literally in the court scene they were getting trashed by everyone and when peter was questioned he turned the whole thing around. Peter knew what the people wanted and thats important.
I really felt like there is a much more solid version of this film that wasn't trimmed as much. It was almost there but reverted too hard to redo tropes and streamline for modern audiences when they should have leaned more into characters/family/lore dynamics. It just felt like scared studio meddling, afraid to make a firm decision. If this franchise is going to live it needs story that sparks imagination and has to decide...is it adult comedy/sci-fi/horror or is it safe family friendly adventure for all?
There were a lot of continuity errors, there’s a person that overseas just that.
Agreed
Made differently for modern audiences, who love the original as it is.... smart!
@@trevor2001 He called in sick
I love Bill Murray.
I will never forgive the director and the production for cutting this scene! Especially after using it to advertise the film!
This is what I can’t figure out. Bill Murray was front and center on the posters and in the commercials. They knew everyone wanted to see him. Yet with the movie itself they cut a portion of his scenes and give him maybe 10 min of airtime.
This movie really need an extended or director’s cut version
I love ghostbusters ❤❤❤❤❤❤
this deleted scene is better than the whole entire movie.
When you need a reminder that Peter was a hound dog back in the day.
Super fun movie, would love to see an extended cut
shame they cut this ! its actually a good scene !!
lol, love that scene 🎬
A shame this scene (or any of the other cut Venkman scenes) didn't make the final movie. It's such a great character moment and those "Look, he's a grower" and "Well, it worked for me" lines are some of the funniest moments in the entire movie. Too bad the movie got trimmed a bit too much there, especially since they had Murray on set and decided to not use him much.
Incredible! They just deleted it. Bill led the original 1984 film and the sequel 1989, and some idiot just cut out one of the best scenes in the film.
l love the Movie and l'm a Fan Ghostbusters!
I cant no wait ghostbusters 5
Yes! other fun video
😂 should defo have been kept in
This should never have been cut... Baffling.
Ridiculous that this was cut. Great scene.
Many deleted scenes are better for the movie experience
They probably paid him several million and he was in two scenes. Wow
This answer is a Phil Connors answer too!!!
Surprised this was cut.
This deleted scene is funnier than anything in Afterlife and this movie.
Bill Murray meets Paul Rudd.
I was expecting a Mac & Me clip…
Venkman living life to the fullest. 👏😆
This was easily the funniest scene in the movie. Cannot believe it got cut.
Movie must be REALLY unfunny if this is the best
Paul Rudd was Tommy Doyle from Halloween 6 🎃 the Curse of Michael Myers 🔪
I was really hoping for more from Frozen Empire. It just really seemed like they had no idea what to do with it.
So i just made a note for
Dan Akroyd
Bill Murray
And Ernie Hudson
GHOSTBUSTERS
YAY
I thought this was a part when peter gives a pep talk on giving instructions 🤔
This really should have remained in the film. I know it doesn't add to the plot, but it's a great little exchange between Venkman and Grooberson.
Ant Man and Garfield lol 😂😂😂
Maybe the scene was cut on a monday.
Who edited this movie? Who decides to cut out scenes with Bill Murray? He's arguably the "main" character in tne first two movies - you get him back for Ghostbusters and then someone decides to cut out scenes that he's in?
I'm not sure that there is anything anyone could say to make me understand that decision.
We need a much longer cut. Big baddie shows up and the movie is over. There’s also way too many characters. This movie needed to be like 3 hours long.
Why cut this ? Cut the Patton Oswalt scene , cut the girl from last film now working for Winston , but leave this scene .
I think Paul Rudd is a little off in this scene, but other than this it would have definitely worked in the movie.
Fan edit cometh.
Taking these scenes out was a big mistake.
you can tell he doesn't care lol.
And you should make a ghostbusters Frozen empire 2?
ei!!!beijo emiliana do manejo.
They should've left this in. It's very "Venkman".
This scene should have been about Peter giving Gary advice on what it means to be a stepfather.
Not a very Venkman thing to do, though.
Maybe in his venkmen words lol
Hah! Ad if Venkman had any of that advice to give!
@@VambeefcoHorzey Not a very Venkman thing to have "never touched" the containment unit.
@@VambeefcoHorzey not a very Venkman thing to have "never touched" the containment unit
This should've been in the e movie!
I couldn't agree more
Why they deleted this scene?
It sucks but typically movie studios force them to cut up a movie to keep it within a certain running time. They should have left this scene in though in my opinion.
This scene serves no purpose, and it is awkward. The only thing that is neat about it is that they gave him a scarf that looks like a shirt he wore in the first movie.
@@WiGgYof09 It serves the purpose of showing the paranormal aspects of Garraka's self-replenishing icicles. It serves the purpose of Grooberson seeking sage advice from an OG Ghostbuster whom he idolozes. It serves the purpose of showing that while Venkman didn't contribute to much of the scientific side of the team, his comedic charm and wit were part of what made the team special. Oh, it also serves the purpose of being funny.
Because it's cringe
W
I have never seen a film where so much was cut out especially from what was promised in the trailers. Poor editing and marketing!
Guys anyone explain to me why this channel deleted the Real Ghostbusters episodes ?
Peter should have been slimed.
This seemed like it would have a bit more reverence in the trailer. I'm totally fine with it being deleted.
Oh
Can we just delete the whole movie and try again?
Where was this supposed to go? Right before his test where he threw pens at Nadeem? If so, that seems like a better introduction of Venkman.
It's a great scene but it doesn't propel the movie forward or really add anything but comedy. I can see why they axed it from a storytelling perspective.
❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉圧👻🚫
Just why..
I kinda no definitely like this scene he should’ve been in it I don’t care if it would’ve made the movie longer I’m a fan and a movie collector I love stuff like this personally I think it would’ve just made the movie better and more special imo but I don’t dislike the movie I think it’s good but the scene would’ve made it better
Lost in Translation.
I know he has a cult fol
true, but you're not that kind of doctor
That's the joke...
I bought Frozen Empire yesterday, and think it is even better that Afterlife, and 1000,000,000 times better than that 2016 thingy that I hear doesn't exist, Paul Feig must be spinning in his grave because of Afterlife, and Frozen Empire.
Take care, and all the best.
Feig isn't dead.
This is better than Ghostbusters 2 but still a good 80s classic
@@Hodaris_Darlin- He is dead to me.
The writer of this film clearly didn't understand the banter that Dan Aykroyd created and it shows throughout the entire film
Glad this was cut as it added nothing to the film
I know he has a cult following now but I find Bill Murry deeply unfunny. I'm glad they cut his scenes
I understand why this was cut, because it makes them all look like bumbling clowns, THEY would have known how to fix it. Even Peter would have been told, or learned over time how these things operate. Doing a Peter Venkman a disservice by posting this!
To me, this scene basically sums up the problem I have with Venkman in these new films: he serves no purpose. Winston is the money behind the new team. Ray is knowledgeable enough in the occult to act as a mentor figure. But Peter? What does he bring to the table?
@TylerCharlesFisher The thing is, he was only ever the wit of the team. In old age there's not much left for him to do.
@@VambeefcoHorzeyHe's still the Stressbuster. When he comes in as they're waiting for Garraka to show up & teases Janine, gets that bottle out of the wall, has a drink & offers it to the other senior team members it helps them relax a litte.
I mean he tells us in the scene that he never messed around with that stuff. Which makes sense, he’s not the tech guy and he has zero interest in the how. He just knows how to use the equipment to do the job, not how to fix it lol.
@@TylerCharlesFisher Would have loved more of him but in story he has a whole other life now so he’s not as involved naturally but since he has an office in the tech lab he clearly still comes in to consult and help when his skill set is needed. I actually loved the test scene because if you look at him through the scene you’ll notice he keeps looking behind Nadeem after the initial question so he zeros in on what the trigger is right away. It shows he’s done this before and knows exactly what he’s looking for and how to test it.
Improvised and not very funny scene
Rubbish
This movie was awful.
This movie wasn’t very good
