Akhil k I think he means that they literally wouldn’t sell it to him, you have to be one of their best clients in order for them to sell you an aquanaut or nautilus for retail. He paid 26k for it but I’m pretty sure it’s worth 50-60 on the secondary markets.
The idea to put the phone recordings with the ad’s was brilliant.

Well one woman said her list maxed out at 5 so we can assume most of those lists have 2-5 people on it

@ that's Marketing at its finest. Limiting the Supply so that the demand exceeds the supply is why they can justify asking so much for the watch. They charge people to feel exclusive.

I always wondered what he did for a living. I being a Jordanian royal as busy as being a British Royal? Must they attend many events? Are they absolute monarchs and really busy like Monaco or Lichtenstein? I hope it is one of those two, not lazy creeps like Gulf royals. That said, if any gulf royal needs some financial advice I am currently looking for work.

This is a fantastic timepiece. Supremely versatile, handsome and the dual time complication is extremely useful and in my opinion Patek's implementation of it is the best out there. Have fun wearing it!

Omg this video gets my blood flowing! I’m 27 years old, I have done nothing with my life worth wild, I didint know what life had in store for me, I didint know what I was going to be when I grew up, I worked carpentry, construction, all types of hands on labor, you name it. I felt no sense of direction. I always had a very Keene attraction for watches and timepieces, but just as of the last few months on lockdown, I have really found my calling and learned what my passionate life career will be! I plan on starting off as just a hobby and side income, but at the same time I’m going to treat it like a professional business. This time next year I want to have a up and running online watch salesman business! And one day I will have brick and mortar! I love the thought of this, and to be able track down and find the real tuff pieces that costumers are trying to get! Great video! 👍🏻👍🏻

I have no idea how someone could stay so calm when taking a delivery of a watch of this prestige. I love this style and how you appreciate every watch from any price point. I just started collecting and getting into watches so this is *hopefully* my future some day.

Thank you for sharing, not only your experience with the watch, but your walk through the streets of London. I haven't been to London in a little while, but I loved my time there and really miss it. Coming from where I live in New York, London seems so modern yet so historic at the same time. A cosmopolitan city with a historic legacy...quite a lovely city! Love Europe and my time in London was truly special.

The problem is there's a real paradox there, the people who work hard and smart to get rich don't drop £26,000 on a watch. I think you have to be a special type of delusional obsessive (as all us watch fiends are) to justify that

Very true video about waitlists - I had a very similar experience here in the NE USA. My to-be-wife wanted to get me a similar watch for our wedding and had to call ADs from multiple locations. She even tried some London stores. We ultimately found the piece in ATL after 5 months.

@@LondonWatchCollector Currently own a YM 116621 chocolate sunburst dial and a 39mm OP 114300 rhodium sunburst dial. Definitely hope to expand that, and certainly want to pick up a blue dial Nautilus 5711 and an AP ROO 44mm QE II Cup some day along the line. :) If I could ever afford it, I would pick up an RM 11-03 McLaren, that's my ultimate grail watch.
Bless people like you that document stuff like this so all us commoners can live vicariously through you! :p That's got to be the most footage I've seen from inside a Patek salon, I wonder if you got REALLY sneaky (hidden pen/glasses cam, etc) if you could get all of it.

Damn! Great watch. I always saw the aquanaut as the ugly brother of the nautilus but this one is simply gorgeous!
140£ for the rubber strap is okay, considering I payed the same amount for my Breitling rubber strap. Good to see that Patek is not completely insane with their prices for accessories. (Still a lot of money, though).
Man!! I’ve always hated the aquanaut because of the 5167 and how it looked but the 5164’s pushers and sub dial changed the game for me with the aquanaut! Yeah £140 not too bad!👌🏼

I found it funny that they wont sell it to a non local hahahaha. But yes i used to have an aquanaut. I usually buy my watches from chrono24 (trusted sellers) and very rarely brand new
Really good video (possibly the best on YT) serving to show just how hard it is to find some watches. You are of course on a totally different level to me ha, but you must be over the moon with that piece.

But I know you probably weren't born with a silver 🥄 and that you most likely got to where you are through hard work & intelligent decisions with your 💰. Your macro shots make me feel like the watch is right in front of me. Sometimes I pause the clip and hold the phone over my wrist so I can imagine what it would look like on me. Hi Jason, first of all thank you for your comment, I usually don’t like to share my personal life but in this instance I feel I need to, maybe it will inspire you and make you reach your goals.. you are right I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth, my first job was after graduating high school (within 2 months), I was doing my engineering degree whilst working after college hours, from the age of 18 and stopped allowing my parents to spend on me. I Didn’t buy my first luxury watch until the age 29, it’s the passion that kept and still
keeps me going and working extra hard to be where I am today and it’s comments like yours that keep me going.. find out what passion you have in life and pursue it that’s how you will succeed and make yourself and everyone around you happy.

Yes the ADs turned him down. But he prayed really hard; and one day he took a dump that was giving him a lot of trouble. But he persevered and out came the watch;-). Just f**king. I’m actually curious how it ended up he got the watch. I’m a long time Rolex collector and he has a great channel!
